Lost in Forever

Delightful collection of this band's music

"Songs of Love Death" and "Lost in Forever" probably have more in common than the next two CD's ("Heart of the Hurricane" and "Horizons"). Much like their first effort, this selection of songs by Beyond the Black features listenable melodies matched well with rock instrumentation. Of course, the songs are nothing without a voice to weave the melody into the tapestry of something aesthetic and presentable. Jennifer Haben's voice is very much a pure pleasure to hear, and the songs are balanced well with guest vocals (harsh and clean), backing vocals (again, harsh and clean), and a rich accompaniment of musicians. In short this a fun CD to hear, especially very loud while driving.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM THE FEMALE SINGER IS TRULY AN ANGEL. IF YOU LOVE THIS CD AS MUCH AS I DO, SEND THEM A NOTE THEY HAVE ANEW CD OUT CALLED HORIZONS AND IT'EVEN BETERTHE MELODIES ARE AMAZING. THESE LAST 2 CD'S SHOULD ALREADY BE PLATINUM AND THEIR LIVE SHOWS SHOULD ALL BE SOLD OUT.CHEERS MATES . THESE GUYS AND GIRLS SHOULD BE HAILED AS THE NEXT BIG THING I PRAY THEY COME TO THE USA SOON. LIKE I SAID IN MY LAST REVIEW. THERE IS ONL1 BAND BETTER I LOVE AND THAT BAND IS THE BLACK VEIL BRIDES. IN FACT THEY COULD SOON BE OPENING ON THEIR OWN. YOUR SINGER IS SWEET AND SEXY.

Jennifer Haben rocks

great album from a strong beautiful vocalist, she has that within temptation, and nightwish vocals(floor Jansen era). The songs are playing nonstop in my car because I can relate with their music. My favorite song on this album is The rage before the storm. Another favorite is Burning In Flames. The whole album is great. Highly recommended.

this band is perfect nothing wrong with the album they remind me of Within Temptation & I love the music so much so glad I am fan of them & I can't wait to play this album & there other 2 albums Songs of Love & Death & Heart of the Hurricane at my guitar lessons next year so glad I am fan of them

Better than expected

Would give it 4 1/2 stars Excellent second disc by the band. Interesting is that much of the music was written from non band members. To me it doe snot sound like Nightwish a band I don't like much. Rocks to much to sound like Nightwish.. Check them out on you tube and if you like it by the disc.

Another brilliant album, well worth a listen.I keep reading that people don’t enjoy new music, but I don’t think that they have been listening to Beyond the Black because I have enjoyed all their albums (4 so far).

I think it is ok in the way I think Lacuna Coil is ok in other words they sound the same. There was not a track on this that grabbed my ears and said "Listen again". The ridiculous growling vocals, why do they do this? it's not Demonic it's adolescent.
