BioLite Campstove Wood Burning Electricity Generating & USB Charging Camp Stove (CampStove 2+)

I am blown away by this. I took it to use at a campsite mainly for the heat, light and ability to charge small appliances. It was very easy to light and keep warm by. Some people don’t like the fan noise but it doesn’t bother me. It came in useful to charge my phone, and I found it comforting to use when lone camping. It seems to be of a good sturdy construction and I like the design and the idea behind it being used in underdeveloped countries.

Great item. Perfect for when I go camping. Fairly lightweight. Packs up small. Fast charge. Very happy

Best piece of kit I have

For my son, very pleased with it. allows to fuel by scavenging and recharge his phone. A wonderful piece of kit for the average field scientist.

I thought this was going to be a complete scam but surprisingly the bio-lite 2 is actually amazing, packaged well and has a fan that keeps the fire under control and also charges the battery pretty good, you can also charge a small device while running. GREAT PRODUCT!

Works well fan is a bit noisy, but it’s nice to have the added bonus of a USB charger that is powered by the heat of the stove. Also charges up the battery run the fan . You can also cook on it too have not tried that yet. I am.

Great for emergency free cooking, heating water, light and charge devices, expensive but for me to have emergency peace of mind its worth it,as once bought its free cooking and energy, and light, great piece of kit

Light and Compact well designed packaging. Great product idea saw this at Blacks outdoor store, UK years ago. Totally Satisfied.

It works, but don't think it's light. However it works so well, that you may not need a backup solution for cooking. Only this great modern invention. Scenario: you are taking wood working instruments anyway for cooking and warmth? Then this is a go to. I would however not recommend this instrument for all sorts of Ultralight excursions. I use it in conjunction with bike packing. Where the bike does all the weightlifting. Being able to charge my Mobile Phone/GPS/Lights with wood is a game changer. If I stay somewhere over a couple of days I use backpacking solar panels additionaly and I pack two Powerbanks (10.000 mAh). In my pack theres a little Saw and a little foresters axe for feeding this camp stove comfortably. As it is a wood gas stove, it is very efficient with fuel. Which means, a litre of scrap wood from the surroundings will give a long period of energy. There are several lighting methods for this type of stove. Top down, and bottom up. Don't despair - just get to know it already at home and use what works for you, and don't just unpack it freshly in the field, please. It will be your friend once you know how easily of operates.
