Fly5DDashMat Dashboard Cover Fits 2007-2015 Mazda 2 M2 (2007-2015 Mazda 2, Black)

I bought this because I've read reviews about the dashboards in some of the Mazda's actually melting in time due to the sun, creating a very gummy, tacky feel. I've had this happen in one of my other vehicles, and do know this IS an issue in some cars. I just didn't know it was an issue prone to Mazda's and I don't want to take the chance of it happening again.Looks like the carpet on the floor of the car, so it does match pretty well in a black interior. The shape and the cut-outs fit nicely. It is thin enough that it lays flat, yet conforms to the moldings of the dashboard, so there is no odd bunching or scrunched up look. There are plenty of velcro tabs included for extra securing. It does not muffle the sound coming from the speakers (yay!). It also eliminates that dusty layer that seems so obvious on black interiors, which is a plus, and should also help resist fading and cracking.It's not really going to glam up the look of your car, if that is your intention. I didn't give it 5 stars because it obviously looks after-market. But it IS custom-cut based on your vehicle, and I'm actually surprised at how well it does fit, which is probably the most important thing. You don't often see carpet-covered dash's installed by the manufacturer anyway, so you can tell this is an add-on piece.I actually like it better each time I get in the car, and I'm glad I decided to order it. The price was fair, so even if I didn't, I wasn't out much. For the money, I think it will protect the dash, which is what I bought it for.

The mazda 2 carpet cover is a perfect fit although it comes with velcro strips I added some to the backside of the carpet to add more security and will need additional glue to the backside of each velcro strip to stay on the dashboard. But once the velcro are glued and secured the carpet holds in place very tightly until u need to remove it for a quick vacuum cleaning. Bought this to keep heat away from my 7 inch dvd screen also does an amazing job at reducing glare from your dashboard on bright sunny days so it serves many purposes other than looks

it is a nice product. everyone needs to get one to protect their valuable property.
