## Description

The Rubbermaid Commercial Products Bouncer Measuring Cup is constructed of break-resistant, clear polycarbonate. It is also resistant to scratches, cracks and dents as it is sturdy and durable. These measuring cups feature large, easy to read measurements in high-contrast red or blue. This measuring cup can measure both liquid and dry ingredients. It is commercial dishwasher safe for use in restaurants and kitchens. Safe for use with temperatures ranging from -40-degree F and 212-degree F. Certified to NSF std. #2. Provides precise measurements up to 2-quarts.

Review: Well-made, but contains BPA - Sturdy, well-made measuring container. I like the handle attachment at top and bottom. It's clear, and the markings are etched and easily readable. As for accuracy, I don't really have a standard that's certified by anyone; so I can only say that 24 oz from my Pyrex measuring cup, shows as roughly 24.5 oz in this container. 8 oz was very close in both containers. It pours well, and normally doesn't drip, but after pouring water, a drop often remains on the top edge, but sometimes falls over the edge. This could have something to do with the seam's being at the center of the pour spout -- the seam formed during the casting/moulding process. The downside for some uses/users, is that it contains Bisphenol A aka BPA, which seems to have issues. It's not an issue for my use of pouring cold water into my coffee maker, but it might be for some. So, I recommend it, with that caveat.

**Q: I want this cup to make hot cereal in my microwave. Says it handles temps up to boiling. Will it hold up to a few min. of boiling oatmeal?**
A: This will work great for that.  I use it to boil things all day long, every day.  I use it for oatmeal and for my constant cups of tea.  It spends more time in the microwave then on the counter.  I'm very happy with this item.

**Q: Do the measurement markings rub off or fade easily after several washings?**
A: I have used mine for brewing coffee on our Kuerig coffee maker.  The hot coffee has a solid content that builds up on the cup surface. I use a SOS / Brillo pad to remove the buildup.  There is no degradation to the markings. I use this cup because it pours very well, unlike most glass cups. 

A: It appears from reviews that mention frequent use in the microwave that it is microwave safe.  However, water can become superheated, above 212F in a microwave without being under pressure because a microwave oven can heat water faster than the water can turn into vapor.
