Excellent thermos
Even after 8 hours my coffee is so hot that I can not drink a large sip straight out of this thermos. And that too in spite of the fact that I have taken multiple sips by opening its push button lock. Its very light weight and compact. Its fits in my car's can holder space. It has an intelligent push button lock to drink straight out of the bottle . it opens the cap very slightly when you press the button and keeps it in this position till you keep pressing this button. Cap opens fully only when you have taken pressure off the button. I ordered this on 3rd Feb & the seller Ibhejo delivered it to me on 6 Feb.

Good bottle but can't remove label residue.
Good product but they put two sticky labels directly on the bottle and they're impossible to remove cleanly. So the bottle aesthetic is ruined.

Needless hype. Mediocre performance
Either I received a faulty piece or there is unnecessary hype about this product, as it does not even keep the liquid warm for 2-3 hours.

Boiled water stored in bottle is 87C after an hour and 71C after 6 hours.
Update I purchased this Oct 2016. It is currently Nov 2025 at the time of writing this update. My bottle is still going strong. It has been dented in 3 spots from accidental drops, but it still keeps my boiled water super hot even overnight. It performs just as good as the first day I got it. I'm super happy with this bottle and I use it almost daily. ------ Pros - The size of the bottle is so small! It stores the same amount of my old bottle but its profile is smaller and keeps drinks hot for much longer. - The lid cover has rubber gaskets to prevent leaks and it works well. Cover lid also has a lock feature to further prevent leaks. - Stopper can be removed from the lid cover for easy cleaning. Don't worry, I gave it a try and it can only be removed when the entire lid is unscrewed from the metal bottle. While it's screwed on, there's no possible way you can remove the stopper by accident. - Page 9 of the manual also explains how long it can keep drinks hot. In case you're too lazy to look at the photos of the manual, the water will be at 87C after an hour and 71C after 6 hours. I'd say this is accurate. I tested it with a thermometer myself and my water was 73C after 6 hours. - Vacuum insulated bottle stays cold while holding just boiled water. Cons - The disposable tea bag I used to fill with loose leaf tea was hard to remove from the bottle because tea leaves expanded and was too hot to grab. Opening was also too small for this small metal round tea steeper I had. My point is the opening is very small and you'll have to find a tea steeper that's tube shaped to actually fit in. Small teabags will fit in just fine though. - The instructions booklet advises against storing the bottle sideways and keeping it upright. Who honestly can maintain the bottle in an upright position? I just put mine in my purse upright and I'm off on my commute. By the time I arrive at the office and open my bag, I see that the bottle is already lying sideways. I haven't had it leak on me yet though. - Putting ice cubes/frozen drinks inside might cause the internal pressure to decrease and the lid cover gasket to come off when you open the lid so be careful. If it comes off, just reattach the lid cover gasket. Tips - Don't put carbonated drinks inside! The pressure will build up in the bottle and cause problems. - Don't put soup inside. Soups have a lot of sodium/salt, which will cause your bottle to rust and lose thermal insulation. - Goes without saying but please don't put this in the microwave. No one should ever put metal in the microwave.

One of my favourite travel mugs ever.
EDIT: I just have some additional things to say. First, Zojirushi felt way too optimistic about their air hole in their drinking spout. The flow coming from this bottle is not smooth at all. This is probably the only con for this bottle. The only travel mugs I have ever used was the Contigo Auto-Seal. I have hated that travel mug. Why? The lid is impossible to clean, it is NOT leakproof, and since it was impossible to clean the lid, it will eventually impart weird flavours into your beverage. (More apparent if you used it for cold water.) I always eyed the Zojirushi because in Canada, they are a bit expensive. But I decided to bite the bullet to stop wasting so many non-recyclable cups at the coffee shop! And I love it! Why do I love it? I got the SM-SD60RC. Basically, it is the new red model of the Zojirushi travel mug. The 60 means 600 millilitres or just over 20 ounces of liquid. I will say: This is a pretty fancy travel mug. The exterior red finish even, excuse my language, sparkles! It's subtle and you have to have the right angle of light, but you got to admit: it's a nice touch! I have been using it in university and everyone is looking at it! I guess colourful travel mugs aren't too common. But I love the color red so I just had to have it! Zojirushi mugs come in a variety of colours which I really appreciate if you are just tired of stainless steel and black. I will say that my bottle is made in Thailand. I don't know if this makes a difference in quality, like how Chinese-manufactured Zojirushi water boilers are inferior to Japan-manufactured ones. So, this is a review of a Thailand-made Zojirushi travel mug. It is fairly skinny. Therefore, it has a very unlikely chance of being secure in your car cup holder. And, if you use a backpack, I find it is too skinny to stay secure to the side of my bag compared to my Contigo and Blender Bottle shaker/water bottles. Also, I will say for Zojirushi: I would GLADLY take a shorter and wider bottle. Still, the bottle is still beautiful and sleek. My favourite feature is the lid. I told you about the worst thing about travel mugs (particularly "complex" engineering like the Contigos): The lids are just impossible to clean. But this one is the easiest one to clean BY FAR while having the confidence that it WILL NOT leak or suddenly open in your bag. Everything in the lid except the thing that flips up comes apart and can be handwashed with a sponge. I guess the only thing that requires a tiny brush is the upper hole in the spout, but otherwise, this is the easiest lid I have ever cleaned for a travel mug that is leakproof and has a lock. I have carried this in a bag and it has not leaked at all. One con I do have is this spout. While I do like that the spout is protected during transport of dirt and germs (I HATE how Contigos were always exposed to the air!), I think the spout is not big enough for me. I've heard of other Zojirushi models that had a bigger spout, but this one is just a bit tiny for my liking. If you are a coffee addict who just keeps drinking and drinking, you might be disappointed. Going back to the protected spout, I love how your dirty hands are NEVER close to the drinking spout. The only way you will touch it is when you clean it. LOVE THAT. And of course, if you're used to the Auto-Seal, this one WILL spill if you tip it over and don't close it. But if you're tired of over-engineered, flawed mechanisms, this is a good compromise. The inside is non-stick so it will not impart a metallic flavour to your coffee. And it makes it so easy to clean with some hot water and some soap. Of course, the only downside to this is that you cannot use metal spoons to stir as you will scratch it off. The opening is also just over 1.5 inches in diameter. I don't put ice cubes in my bottle, though, and I haven't had any problems pouring hot coffee in there. Lastly, let's talk about the thermal performance. I have two examples: One is coffee at noon and one is coffee I ordered at Tim Hortons and got at 5:00 PM. The former? It is warm at midnight. The latter? It was still warm at 8 AM the NEXT DAY. So yeah, the thermal performance of this is pretty good. I don't know how Zojirushi does it because vacuum technology isn't necessarily a new thing. It's almost magic. The loudest complaint of this bottle is that it is simply too good at what it does, that when you do drink out of it, it is too hot. I have two things to say about that. First, I don't find it difficult to simply let the beverage cool down before putting on the lid. Two, it stays hot for a while, however it stays warm and drinkable FOREVER. I Last point: On Contigo lids, when you press the button, sometimes it spits out hot coffee in your face, clothes, or whatever is in front of you because of pressure equalization. With this one, when you press the lid button, it lets out the pressure out first BEFORE it flips open to reveal the spout. Excellent feature and also really satisfying to open and close. This also makes it really easy to shake your bottle. I know you shouldn't shake bottles with hot liquids, but this one makes it possible without making a big mess. Awesome travel mug. Again, only complaints is the small spout and the skinny body, but yeah. Love it.

Initially this felt small, but 6 months on and its just a perfect size. Everything works as new so far.
