Compact size. Good quality pages. Great purchase.
My daughter packed one of these art notebooks all around Europe while she worked on art assignments for her study abroad classes. It held up great. The pages are sturdy and the watercolor wetness didn't seem to warp the pages. It's compact in size which made it easy for her to tote around.

Perfect for small projects
Love the smaller size for experimenting or "just for fun" projects. Good quality paper.

Premium watercolor paper
ARTISTIC EYE 5.5" x 8.5" Premium Watercolor Pads, Pack of 3 (90 Sheets), Spiral Bound (140 lb, 300 g): What attracted was that it was advertised as 'premium', yet was still reasonably priced in a 3-pack. I am just getting started with watercolors and know that success can also be highly dependent on the quality of products. Curling paper can be a reported issue for some artists, but users may be getting the paper too wet and over-working it beyond reasonable expectations. As for masking borders, success has a lot to do with patience in allowing the paper to dry thoroughly and the type of tape used. Beyond that, I have not had enough time yet to make thorough comparisons with other brands, but I have not been disappointed thus far. I recommend reading other reviews for specific comments related to your personal techniques.

Wonderful watercolor pad set
These artist pads have quality watercolor paper. The pages are perforated so you can easily remove a page to share with a friend or give a piece of art as a gift. A must have for the seasoned artist or beginning artist.

Good value
Love these watercolor pads. I like that theyโre spiral bound, perfect size for practicing techniques and convenient for travel. Great value, but wish they were cotton paper. A good choice for beginners.

Great value for price
I know this isnโt as fancy as some sketchbooks but for myself Iโm just playing and art journaling so I donโt want anything super expensive. The quality is good and I get nice results with my watercolors. And I enjoy the fact that the spiral bound notebook lays flat for whatever page Iโm working on. I use markers, paint, collage, and it handles all these different quite well.

Great quality watercolor paper!
I bought these (3pak) on the recommendation of a You Tuber. Sheโs been painting daily for 25 years and says sheโs tried every paper out there. For the price, these are really good quality. Nice and heavy with the right amount of texture. Iโm not sure what the paper consists of as far as cotton content , but the water absorbency is excellent. I do quite a bit of wet on wet and negative painting and it holds up just fine to multiple water applications. I even use both sides of the paper. Before I bought these I found that I had stacks of paintings, all different sizes stashed in different drawers. Some are of me trying a new technique or brush stroke drills. Now I can keep them, if I want to, in the tablets. If I want to trash them, thatโs easy enough because the paper is perforated. I can date them on the front so I can look back and see the progress Iโve made. Also, they are nice for travel. The size isnโt as intimidating as a full size of expensive watercolor paper. So glad I took that You Tubers advise! I think they cost approximately $23 for 3 tablets.

High quality cheap papers!
Now I'm not a very good artist but I do understand how paints should work. That being said, I bought this for my arteza gouaches and winsor and newton dry watercolor set, and let me explain that this paper handles wonderfully with both. It's very thick, so there is no bleed-through. The paints themselves were vibrant on the paper and easily managed without damaging the paper or ruining the pigments. There is a very slight bend to the paper so I would recommend tapping it down on a surface for full-page pieces and allow it to dry to minimize any bending. It can handle being wetted pretty intensely and water is easily removed with a paper towel without too much absorption into the paper. This is by no means a professional 100% cotton paper, (I do not believe it is cotton paper at all) but out of all the cheap papers I have tried, this is actually very high quality and handles extremely well compared to other brands. This would be ideal for practicing your paints or swatches depending on your needs, as well as the perfect paper for beginners of watercolor and gouache to practice techniques on. For the price I would very much recommend giving these a try if you're a beginner or just looking for good quality cheaper papers.

Great results despite the value price
Wow, I can't believe how nicely the watercolours bled together so smoothly for the cheap price. The weight of the paper is very heavy to the touch but does warp with lots of water. For small/medium painted elements (not full page washes), it's amazing!

Beautiful Watercolor Pads
I love these Watercolor pads by Artisto! I used one for World Watercolor Month 2024 and it held up great. It works for wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on dry, etc. Beautiful results. I would buy these again in bigger sizes if I could find them. I did the Christmas one last week and tore it out of the book and used it as the front of a Christmas Card. Very versatile paper pads, with a great thickness and texture.
