Great general purpose vice
This value for money vice is solid and works well, this is a 5โ vice which will be great for the vast majority of general DIY projects and is considerably cheaper than the 6โ version. It has an added feature of a small anvil attached to the back - a nice touch. The swivel base is also a very useful addition.

Solid & Heavy
For the money I am surprised by what I got. My budget would not allow for anything more expensive and I was pleasantly surprised at what I did get. The vice is heavy, very heavy, well made and being able to turn the vice, versatile. For the money I have no complaints at all. Being heavy it is OK for metal as well as wood. I made a couple of jaw liners for my woodwork which make the vice even more useful and versatile. For holding metal - for cutting and filing - it held everything perfectly. OK so it is not smooth in action and somewhat 'clunky' in use, but as a vice it does all I need and I am delighted to recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap solid vice.

Nice and sturdy
Bought as Christmas present for my diy loving partner. He attached it to his wooden workbench in the garage where he plans to use it for gripping metal and wood for making various things. Nice and sturdy and excellent value for money

So far so good
Good price. Used lightly without any issues....sharpened chainsaw with it.....I'm sure it will serve me well....bit on edge about tightening it too tight incase it gives but good....so far

Broke in half in five minutes!
Absolute rubbish... if you want an extremely light weight, light duty vice then maybe. This snapped in half in 5 minutes of use normal use! Sent back for refund and purchased a more expense quality one. No point buying cheap as you have to buy twice. Not recommended for anything other than holding light weight items ie plastic!

Not what I would describe as heavy duty
I wanted a vice for sharpening chainsaws and general metal work. This is ok for a small say, but is too light duty for a larger (18") saw, I just cannot get it tight enough and the swivel base just isn't up to it. Can be difficult to rotate due to the lack of any bearing surfaces, but for what it is and the price I paid it's ok, I guess I should have bought something bigger...

Very sturdy
For the price you can't go wrong. I haven't attached it to my bench yet but out of the box it looks like it's really well made, it's nice and heavy. It's powder coated really well in that traditional engineer's vice blue. There are only three mounting holes, not sure why they have made it like that but still seems very sturdy. It could have been packaged a little better - came in a flimsy brown cardboard box which was broken when it arrived, saying that, it is made of metal and is going to get beat up eventually.
