This speaker sounds awesome and a definite upgrade to my system. The price was fantastic. I would definitely buy more from Skar Audio when the time comes.

For the price this speaker cannot be beat for value. Definitely NOT a hi-fi woofer but sounds OK in my guitar amp project. I wouldn't recommend this a replacement for stage use...sounds a bit constricted but in a practice amp it's just fine. I would also NOT recommend this for a Bass guitar amp...not enough bottom end to the sound...see next paragraph... The suspension is very stiff...hoping it loosens up a bit with use. This limits the amount of air this woofer can move so does not go very deep into the bass tones. I would say it generally reproduces the range 200 - 5000 Hertz reasonably well. Very heavy and substantial magnet structure so I have no doubt it can absorb some power. 300W might be a stretch but my amp project delivers a solid 100W and the speaker handles that with ease. Musician on budget (what musician isn't?? LOL) this speaker will breathe some life into an older amp...but I personally would not use this on stage...just not enough punch or smoothness. Jamming with friends works just fine.
