Dark Matter

I bought this on vinyl. There were only 1000 copies on black vinyl released and I got 3 of them! This sounds amazing for a metal band via vinyk record. Usually I prefer artist to have a warm sound, in vinyl, buy this still sounded amazing.

This is easily the best metal album of 2016. Here it is years later and I am still mesmerized by this masterpiece. 2016 was a good year for music but this tops everything. Every song is a powerhouse and every element of it is spectacular. The vocals are consistently perfect and surprisingly beautiful, the guitar riffs are unparalleled and brilliantly timed. I had the privileged to see these guys live and they blew me away completely with their talent. I can't say enough good things about this record so I'll sum it up with this... If you are into metal music, do yourself a favor and give this a listen. You will not be disappointed even after 300 listens... I stake my metal scout badge on it.

In my opinion there have been two albums released this year from various bands in this subgenre that are hands-down absolute 5 star albums, and this is the second one. I am truly blown away by this album. Instrumentally it is an absolute powerhouse, it could be a stand alone instrumental album in my opinion. One to rival Russian Circles and Scale the Summit. But Telle's vocals are also incredible. I don't think there is one song on this album that could be considered a truly "weak link." I'm so stoked that I picked this album up and would suggest it to anyone who has shown interest in this band before. I don't think you will be disappointed.

These guys rock! This album is freaking great. My favorite songs are Trapped, Face to Face and Insane. Fans of Asking Alexandria and Escape the Fate should check this band out.

Got it from Best Buy while looking for Asking Alexandria. Couldn't find AA, so I "settled" for The Word Alive. I am blown away by the growth these guys have shown. Great album.

Mit dem Album beweist The Word Alive, dass sie noch weiter Zuwachsen brauchen! Das Album gefällt mir super gut, einen Vergleich zu früheren Songs kann man hier anstellen und obwohl mir ein paar damalige Lieder eher im Ohr hingen blieben ist auch dieses Album super. Unter anderem habe ich die Lieder live gehört und es war der Wahnsinn. Unglaublich gute Stimmung und die bei den Liedern konnte man einfach nur mitfeiern, jeder der gerne Hardcore / Metalcore hört sollte sich das zulegen und auch die Konzerte besuchen. Das lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach!

Also mir ging es am Anfang wie dem Hörer mit einem Stern, ich war enttäuscht von dem Album. Nach ca. 20 durchläufen finde ich das Album Spitze... Aber die durchläufe muss man erstmal schaffen...Wenn man das Durchhaltevermögen hat lohnt sich der Kauf auf alle Fälle.
