We oue purchased multiple of these in 2019 when we moved into our house; they all worked perfectly then and most still work fine. The only issue with one is that the dial and the actual settings have gotten out of sync: off is now whatever setting is one turn afterward, and so on.

Gift for my nephew, who is out in his own apartment for the first time and was trying to sleep during the day in the Sacramento heat. Worked well and wasn't so noisy that it bothered him. Happy with the unit.

I use it in my master bedroom. It's like having my own mini vacation now and I love it. Brings me my own little cool escape

I got 2 of these little babies when my central unit went out. Just something for each bedroom so we could sleep until the heat and air man got around to us. They worked so well, we decided to keep them on full time! And, like another reviewer, we noticed the electric bill went down while using these and the central unit... And the house is more comfortable - WIN WIN!! So uppon closer examination they draw less than 5 amps each. I do need to add that the thermostat went out on one unit and the compressor doesn't cycle at all anymore, but after 5 years of pure abuse, only 1 thermostat fail... I think I'll take down the 4 star rating and change it to 5. One of my most... 2 of my most cherrished possessions! Super comfortable in my house now!

Very good unit, I own two. They have a weak fan though. After running the unit for 12-13 months the fans "Slow down", When it rains the fans stop blowing on the low setting. I think it is a design flaw. I had the fan replaced in both units and they have been working fine since. It's worth repairing. My electric bill actually dropped over $100.00 when I stopped using the central cooling system. So yea! This is a damn good unit. Cools great and cost nothing.

I don'y own one and probably never will dueto the stupid dimensions given. 98"W x 13. 19"H x 12. 05"D. So this unit is 98" wide??8'-2" wide? I don't think so. If you want someone to buy this, you HAVE to give correct dimensions.
