Perfect for the dorm. I added antibiotic ointment & cortisone cream to make the ultimate first aid kit for college. Big enough to fit plenty of stuff, but still compact for small spaces.

My wife is a nurse so she removed a lot of stuff and put in more things for accidents like cuts, which is a common occurrence while outdoors. Antiseptic ointment, large 4 x 4 non stick bandages and large adhesive tape. Don't need hundreds of small bandages but things to fix splinters, larger cuts, and a better pair of scissors. Yes, can build your own but this is a good starter set for the money but recommend having a nurse or other medical personal suggest the stuff to compliment or replace the items. Don't forget an ace bandage for a sprained joint. If you need more, you need to call 911
