Will these fit the factory smart case?

Most definitely!! Honest to goodness truth these carbon fiber covers not only fit into the smart case they also do not impede any function of the AirPods. They are truly a great buy!

A youtube publisher says the case has been revised to not block bt. how can i tell i’m getting a revised version?

I’ve had mine for two months and they are almost made to order, so I would say it’s a safe bet that you’ll be getting the revised version. With them on or off, I’ve had zero problems with Bluetooth.
