They are not as slippery as a lot of mats can be because they are thicker and more durable, but they are made out of corkboard so they don't grip the table or anything. I would say, if you knock it accidentally (and somewhat forcefully of course), it will move, but it won't go flying across the table. **Q: I understand you shouldn't place hot objects on them. That means not even a bowl with hot soup, or just oven-hot pots? Thank you.** A: I have them for about 6 mon. now on my island.I do put hot soup bowls and hot dinner plates on them they stay nice.cleans easy also.Do not put hot pots and pans on them because the top coating will melt. **Q: Are these stiff placemats or are they flexible?** A: They are stiff with a thin cork like material on back. **Q: Do they really take 1 to 2 months to ship???** A: It took two day to receive it - we have Primary account. ## Frequently Bought Together - Benson Mills Cork Placemats Set of 4, Thick Cork Place Mats for Kitchen and Dining Tables, Easy Clean Table Mats (12" x 16" Rectangular Set of 4, Bordeaux Wine) - Tiangrid 8 Sets Cork Placemats with Coasters Include Wine Cork Backing Table Mats and Round Coasters Placemats Set for Kitchen Dinner Table Setting Supplies, 12 x 16 Inch (Wine) - Tiangrid 4 Sets Cork Placemats with Coasters Include Street Scene Table Mats and Square Coasters Cork Placemats Set for Kitchen Dinner Table Setting Supplies, 11.4 x 15.4 Inch --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/285390449-benson-mills-bordeaux-100-percent-cork-placemat-set-of-4](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/285390449-benson-mills-bordeaux-100-percent-cork-placemat-set-of-4) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
