Question 1

How accurate is it? I'd like an inexpensive watch that's fairly accurate.

It is VERY accurate considering the cost!  I have an "atomic" watch which gets the daily correction signal from WWV, I don't like to wear it every day because it is big and clunky but I used it to set my Casio watch and I just checked and, after over 4 months of use, the Casio is only 2 seconds behind the atomic watch!  I'd call that pretty accurate!  Apparently, mine is a bit more accurate than some others, but all seem to agree, for the money it's very accurate.

Question 2

Is the case succeptable to scratches and scuffs over time and reveal the actual metal underneath?

It is a very durable composite material no metal in the case. Yes it will scratch but it isn't supposed to be a dress watch.  I wore my first one for 10 hears and finally broke the case where the band fits in .  I used the wrong band with no give in it. The watch still works I now have it fastened on my motorcycle because it is water proof.

Can you set it so that it does not beep when pressing buttons or at each hour?

For the hourly signal, yes, it can be turned off or on.The instructions that came with it cover this.(in the alarm section, second just before the "stopwatch" section starts.)They are available on-line if you've lost your instructions.In any case, the I just googled "Cassio 201 watch instructions" and selected the cassio site, and downloaded the link: http://support.casio.com/en/manual/manual.php?cid=009&MODULE=2879In short, press the mode button "B" button(lower left) until you get to the AL (alarm) screen.That has two indicators, "ALM" for the alarm, and "SIG" for the hourly chime.Then you are in a mode where pressing the "C" button cycles through  "both on", "both off", "alarm only", "hourly only".Select what you want, and then press the "B" button until you get back to the main screen. Question 4

Is this the watch commonly worn by male and female  nurses?

YES. I am an RN and would be comfortable wearing this watch at work all the time. In nearly 30 years in the medical field  I think I have seen maybe 1 nurse wear a watch attached to their uniform. I have no idea what BB is thinking.
