Proline 117013 Trencher 2.8" All Terrain Tires Mounted for Electric Stampede/Rustler, Pair

I have ran about 10 2s and 10 3s packs on slash 4x4 ultimate and the tires are about wore out on the back. The fronts are ok so I rotated the tires. They look very cool but after a month of running on grass and dirt they are about wore out. Real bummer but fun in the short time they lasted. There has to be something better that is bigger than stock and last longer.Update: I still have not found anything better. Tires last a lot longer in just grass and dirt.I bought a pair of 2.2/3.0 badlands but they are horrible in grass I guess do to smaller size? I enjoy these 2.8 in grass. I would buy them again. Balloon allot but the extra size helps in tall grass. Must have body lift for tires to work for Slash 4x4 but thats only $20. I will never buy anything but 2.8 tires again.

I'm very happy with these tires. My Stampede 4x4 VXL handles better and has a lot better traction. You might want to loosen your slipper clutch if you still have stock driveshafts. These things grip the pavement so well that I was able to wheelie for as long as I held down the trigger but I started breaking rear yokes, half shafts and stub axles. Also, if you have a 4x4 I'd recommend buying two sets of the 117012. The offset will widen the front and rear and you'll be able to rotate your tires to manage thread wear.

Great upgrade for my 2WD electric Stampede. Please know these are for the rear of the 2WD electric Stampede and 117012 is the part number for the fronts. The stock tires were very slippery on pavement, these hook up great.I can now go full throttle from a slow roll and take off straight. These seem to be a little taller than the factory tires, which is OK with me because I think the truck looks pretty mean with these wheels and tires. I recommend these!

A lot heaver than the traxxas stocks so if your a serious basher you would probably break more things. Balloon a lot at high speeds. Heavier than traxxas ones so you have more backflip potential. Though heavy so keep an eye out for motor temps.

They are so much better that the stock Traxxas tires. A must buy. I put them on a Traxxas rustler 4x4 running 3s LiPo battery

I bought these based on Traxxas Forum reviews and suggestions. I do a lot of research before I buy anything, but I believe that since my account of the usage of these for my application should be shared in case others are looking for some insight. My review is based solely on the item, not the company as this is the first product from proline I have used.I am running a Stampede 4x4 VXL with upgrades to include RPM lower a-arms, shocks, and MIP AND traxxas steel axels and 2 cell 5800 mah batteries. The MIP and Traxxas axels have free spinning bearings and I keep everything pristine. The first think I noticed when I swapped out my factory talon wheels and tires to the proline trenchers was the wheels were not balanced. They had wobble which I had a hard time believing. Sure they are bigger but even after minor adjustments the wobble wouldn’t go away. Upon extreme turning whether I was creeping along or just under 1/4 power, the tires would rub the a-arm shields which I didn’t want to mod. They also rubbed portions of the suspension components. Sure I could space them out which would be wrong I figured maybe I could get use to them. For those of you that know, changing the wheel hight changes the center of gravity this causing abrupt stops to endo the truck. You can change the shock mount and lower it but that defeats the height. Sure this is an off road tire, so keep it off road, high speed runs on blacktop will produce an alignment issue with pulling to one side. Just know that off-road they where great except that they constantly rubbed the suspension components. Again I used them on a Stampede 4x4 VXL and your RC may be different.In my opinion they didn’t work for me, and I opted to return them. Proline does make some other stuff I have intentions on buying, but this product wasn’t for my setup.

Had it about 6 months and it hasn't come apart. Wheels can be a bit slick when wet or on hard dirt. Pricey but well made.

Pros: The trenchers look great and have outstanding traction.Cons: poorly written product description, says this part# tire is for stampede however you will find that it will not work properly for stampede 4x4 you need to get part number 117012. I had to call the manufacture to find out the difference between these 2 part numbers. The only difference is the offset of the rim which allows for wider spacing on the sampede 4x4 to give room for your shock protectors and prevent rubbing during hard turns. I'm sure this part # will work fine on the stampede 4x2 .

Fit perfectly on Stampede 4x4, (2 sets of 2wd front). I spent more money on multiple sets of cheaper tires and wheels, but all broke pretty quick. These are tough and look great too.
