We were interested in this type of product as a device to help our 3mo try to "suckle" on a "something" rather than on his fingers/thumbs.When we first received this, our infant was about 3mo. We wanted to give him something to suckle on rather than his digits, with the idea that his hands/fingers cannot be taken away from him but objects can, and we figure the weaning process would be slightly easier.When we received this, the ball-ends were pushed/folded in such a way that it was in a shape of a star-like object - which we though was pretty nifty to be able to hold a different shape. We also found that the holes in in the ball was JUST the right size to put our infant's hand in to discourage him from sucking on his fingers and rather chew/play with this toy. However, our infant is growing, and soon his hands will not fit into those holes. So, we wished it was just slightly larger.The color we chose was the tan ball (aka "lime"?).The color seems mixed in, and not "painted" - thus there has been now flaking, peeling, or chipping of the color of the ball after washing it with soap and warm water.We left 1star off to allow for time to see how this toy will hold up (eg. will any of the straight-parts break off from the ball? will it chip or tear? etc).

I bought this for my 1 Mo old granddaughter. It super cute plus her 17 mo old brother loves it too!

At first I thought this was a waste because she wasn’t playing with it, but ever since she started reaching at around 4 months she loves it. She started teething and this is great because it’s easy for her to hold onto and out in her mouth.

This is a good toy for teething. However the color was far from what I could call “Orange” - it looks like the dirtiest version of orange I’ve ever seen. But apart from that, I’m happy with the purchase.

I really fun ball to bounce and pick up! It doesn’t have parts that stick out well enough to really use it as a teether unless you were going to try to fold it and put the whole thing in your mouth which they don’t do. But he loves picking it up and throwing it and it bounces and he has a great time with it
