Absolute genius - what an amazing invention for sash windows
Sash windows painted shut - you are not alone. Most of us give up -the cost of brining people in to sort them out is hundreds of pounds--- and they usually want to rebuild them. This things really does work. I used it for one (enormous) window that not opened for thirty years. I bent it in the process - and it took some time. I had to saw with it and really just play it by feel. My advice is start in the corners and if necessary use it like a saw on the straight parts. Another tip I learned that is amazing is when you have released them, then repainted them and left them to dry, cover everything that slides (frame and sides) in vaseline. This also really works. VERY VERY highly recommended.

Amazing
Moved into a house that over the years paint has stuck the windows closed solid. Tried hammers and knives and all sorts and nothing worked. This was so simple to use and I can now open my window for the first time.

Instant Success
Couldn’t recommend this more for those looking to remove paint from a painted shut sash window. Made easy work of thick poorly applied paint. Finally have fresh air to my bathroom!
