Does the job!
This hand vac works well. It collects small items from the floor and is easy for quick clean ups. With the brush attachment it works surprisingly well for quick car clean ups. It's not as good as a shop vac, but for small pick ups- it is great and definitely does the job intended. The battery however does not last long (maybe 15-20 minutes max) so plan accordingly, but it's not something I ever expected to use continuously anyway.

Not what I expected - good and bad
First, let me say I've been wanting a handheld for a long time. It was an absolute pain using my upright to vacuum all the stairs! Which means the stairs were filthy! :) I was SO excited to get this! Then I received it. And let me tell you, first impressions, I had scheduled a return. Make sure you understand battery powered handhelds BEFORE you buy this and write a crappy review! I have a 3600 sq ft home. I followed the directions; charged for 16 hours, and then let it run all the way out, which only took a few minutes. Ok fine - first charge....I get it. Back on the charger all that afternoon, probably 6 hours or so. My almost 4 year old granddaughter wanted to "help" clean for Christmas; this vacuum is light enough for her to use and - at that age - FUN! So I let her get under the couch and in the kitchen under the cupboards. She kept turning it off and asking, "ok! What next?" And it lasted maybe 5 or 6 minutes. Well, maybe it was the on-and-off-again that killed it. Back on the charger. I tried it the next morning, and it lasted a few minutes. That's it - it's going back. I started a return. After it was charging for probably 20 hours - really folks, I didn't have a stop watch - I decided to give it the old college try and use it again. I got the edging done, the basement stairs, and a bit onto my area rug where I work out before it died. Could it be?? I started doing research on hand helds - Shark, Bissell, Black + Decker - you name it. Guess what?? I didn't find a SINGLE HANDHELD that boasted lasting 20 minutes; even the expensive $80-$100 handhelds lasted only 15 minutes. I'm not sure what my expectations were but I had hoped to edge everything and be able to vacuum the couch, my pupper's couch, stairs ... all in one swoop. Maybe that'll be possible after i get it good and then only have to sweep over it. But the fact of the matter is, whether you spend $35 or $95, you have about 15 minutes of good suction power before they shut off. Ok that's my story and here's my review! Pros: It is great for suction power. It gets the people hair and the pupper's hair very well (my poor husband - there are 4 female humans and 1 female dog in this house; he is the only male and does not shed like the rest of us). The attachments are wonderful! It is very easy to clean: just pop the filter out, shake, and back in. Rinsing it in water and letting it dry is a breeze as well, plus it saves money on buying new filters (i don't know if this is standard in these hand-helds). I like that it has a little wall piece where you can lock in and store the vacuum off the floor/shelf. Cons: Really, B+D, you could have put a little LED for charging. It would have cost 50 cents and you could have charged $5 more for it. I really want to throw charged battery life in here, but I've already covered it and it's redundant. Plastic. I hate plastic parts. The wall piece is plastic and I'm sure will end up breaking. It's not badly designed, but it's plastic! Overall: After educating myself on dustbusters/handheld vacuums, this is a great little vacuum, and especially for the price. If anything is going to change, it really needs to be a charging LED is installed. A battery life indicator would be nice, but since it only lasts 15 minutes, that maybe overkill. I would recommend this and now that I'm more knowlegable about these products, am excited to use it more!

Great Little Drawer Cleaner
This isn't meant to do your carpets. It's a lightweight, hand held device. It comes with two attachments... a crevice too which I find perfect to vacuum out my silverware drawers and the slots for the silverware. I take everything out and wash it, but these little crumbs keep appearing and it drives me absolutely bonkers. It comes with a little brush... not too fancy... but I could go around my kitchen and clean out the cabinets.. you know all those crumbs and debris that just appear out of nowhere that seem to find a home in your cupboards along the front edges. I wanted this mainly for dusting out drawers and my kitchen and bath cabinets, my desk area (keyboard, and the drawers in my desk), things I am constantly using that I like to keep debris free. It doesn't have a long extension pipe, but I used it to go around and pick up little leaves and twigs pieces that my dogs dragged in from the yard, and little stuff that landed on the rug.... I had done a thorough vacuum just this morning and already there were things hit and miss disturbing my view. So, without hauling out the large vac or using the Rumba, I just went around tapping the end of the this little guy to all these little bothersome threads, leaves, twigs, fuzzballs... which took me all of two minutes... and I'm happy again. I believe this is worth it and I already love this little guy. I charged him up and he has been going strong for at least 20 minutes... I also washed off the crevice tool at the sink and got all the crumbs out of my refrigerator drawers and out of the door bins... also used it to get the lint out of my dryer vent cavity. Works like a charm. I have the much larger model... the 18 volt of this... but I wanted something just a little less ravenous and easier to hold. This is guy is lightweight and comfortable. This has good pickup... better than I expected... it sucked up things I thought it wouldn't... didn't seem too strong when I put my hand over it... but it sure did pick up some large pieces... even a tightly wadded up piece of something that was the size of a jumbo marble... and down it went before I could grab it... ooh well... not like it hurts anything. I love the small size... It sits with the top facing up just about anywhere you could sit a vase... doesn't tip... so I set it on top of the bottom shelf of my computer desk and it just blends in real nicely. It's ready to grab any time anything annoys me.... and that's exactly what I wanted it for.....dust and cleaning out drawers on a moments whim. Update: After a month, I still love this little vac so much that I ordered a second one for the other side of the house. Everyone grabs this thing to get a quick fix for just about everything you can imagine... great for the quick fix around the edges of the cabinet, bar stools, dining table. Sucked up a lighter the other day. Everyone grabs this for so many little cleanup tweaks that a second one became a necessity. Dueling duster busters faceoffs when we meet in the living room... Great for cleaning out coat pockets and the bottom of purses and purse pockets too... it sucked up that change!

The best hand vac I have ever owned
I have owned perhaps half a dozen hand vacs over the years. This one is by far the best one! Light weight but super powerful & strong suction, and costs less than most others. When I need another one, I will buy this again! I only wish it had a charging indicator light.

Works great, beware the charging caveat
It's a nice handheld, though a lot of people say they have problems with it not working after one or two uses. The same thing happened to me, and I figured out what it was. Unless you have a dead battery (lithium apparently dies out after a while if it's been sitting on a shelf a long time that might happen), you have to make sure you're charging it via the right outlet. I had it plugged in to my bedroom outlet and after 5 hours charging it lasted maybe 5 minutes. When I charged it in my bathroom outlet, after about an hour, it was full power and now it works fine.

Convenient, great cleaning little vacuum!
I love this hand-held vacuum. I don't know why in the world I waited so long to get one. This Black and Decker battery-powered vac arrived all put together (except, of course, the part that attaches to the wall). I really needed a convenient vacuum that would let me easily clean the dirt and pebbles out of my car floors which get dirty fast. And boy does it make short order of cleaning there. I confess I have not had it but maybe a week, and I like to wait at least a few months before making judgment on an item, but I love this. Cleaning is already a pain so why should it be any more difficult? If you have small places, a car you have to park in the dirt, a pet that sheds and you need something light and reliable, this is your vacuum. I do have a shop vac that is really good and am happy with. But it has to be plugged in and hauling it around is a pain. I first ooked at this vacuum (made by a reliable company) but I was in a hurry. Then, just two weeks later I saw it again on good sale while looking for something else. No fear! I snatched it up. The vacuum does not come charged but doing that is easy. The charging cord is plugged into the vac, and the other end goes into an electrical outlet. The manual recommends charging at least 16 hours before using. The only downside is it comes with one filter, which can be washed. I am going to look for replacements just in case so I don't have to wash anything. I vacuumed my car and and the sandy car seat mats are clean. I also used my drill to put in the screws to the plastic piece to hang it in the laundry room. You do not have to do that, but why not? So glad to snatch this in a sale. It has a good ranking among battery-powered vacs. I hope you get a sale, too, makes the deal all the more sweeter. This was a prime covered purchase with one day delivery and free shipping Name brand vac. This is the first time I added photos so, I hope they come out. woof!

Pretty ok, but only lasted 4 years, fyi
So this lasted 4 years. This morning when I went to use it, it is making a horrible sound. If this were a generic or lesser brand, I would think that was actually pretty good. Considering this is a major brand, however, I feel like this is not nearly long enough. Pretty easy to use, a bit more difficult to figure out the filter situation. It was okay at picking up pet hair, I have 3 cats. The battery life isn't very good. The filters get clogged up very fast and I find that to be a bit annoying. All in all it was not a waste of money and pretty ok for $40.

Very powerful little handheld vac!
Best small handheld vac in my opinion. Holds its charge for a long time. This has great suction and easy to dump and put back together.

Does a great job and saves me time
I've had this for about 2 weeks now and use it daily to vacuum an endless supply of pine needles in our entry, and ashes/wood splinters around our woodstove and hearth. I also found out that my husband used it in the workshop once for picking up heaven-knows-what. We're both really happy with it, it has good suction, is easy to use, and so far the battery charge lasts a LONG time -- I think when I first charged it, I used it daily for about a week before it needed to be recharged (instructions say to let it run down completely the first time you charge it). I find I'm now using it to just pick up loose bits of dog hair, fluff and debris that accumulates on our hardwood floors. We have 5 small dogs and it's keeping up with them!
