They are not see through, which is great, however I believe if you are on the heavier side with curves they might be a bit see through once they scratch more. I am 130 lb, 5'5 and the length was perfect so that you can be even be as tall as 5'8 - 5'9 and still have enough for them to scratch to cover your ankle. They can be worn for dressing up occasions with high hills, or for yoga/jogging with snickers.
