GREAT!!
I read this Crary series to my sons-- they choose them sometimes if they have had an issue at school. I think it helps them think through issues, though I will say in general they react emotionally still-- little by little I see them try to think of other options. I have also caught them in mid-fight and asked "what are some other ideas of what you could do..." and they remember things from the books. If your child is more a watcher, little shy, sometimes just feels awkward -- these are great life social relationship building books!!!

I'm exited
I work with young children and their families and have found the Dealing With Feelings series very helpful. What I like most about these books is that present a situation and the child can choose what kind of ending they want from a number of alternative actions, and then see what the outcomes could be based on those choices. It is not preachy, and children can learn about their feelings in an accepting and supportive manner

What does a child do when s/he wants to share, but the adult has other things on her/his mind?
It is so frustrating when the child's adult is engrossed in some other task and does not give full-face listening. What can a child do with that? This book gives creative answers.

Maybe better for older grades
I bought these to help teach social skills to preschool kids and didn't end up using them much. Maybe better for older grades.
