This only came in grey. I really wanted white so I searched but there was no other tray like this one with that size and the drip spout. There were some other brands that had open “slots” but no spout . But I can imagine that just causing discoloration on the counter and sink as water and soap would just drip straight down .

Is the bottom flat or is it elevated to allow water to drain down?

The base is flat but the spout tilts down and extends outward funneling the water away from the sink edge and countertop which is why I like it.
