It’s really a good pen

I just love this pen.I've neve owned a Kaweco before but have wanted one for a long time and I finally took the plunge.I really love this little pen. It writes well, so far, no leakage and is comfortable to use.I use the ink converter rather than the cartridges as I prefer that and I think it's more eco friendly as the plastic footprint is much smaller. One bottle of ink goes a long, long way, whilst small cartridges don't.Anyway, back the pen.I bought the distress metallic blue one and it doesn't disappoint. Colour is really nice and because it's distressed, I needn't worry about scratch marks, etc. Bonus.Some people have said the AL Sport pens are heavy but frankly, I have no idea what they are talking about. At least mine isn't.Obviously, the pen can be used with the lid snapped onto the back or not. Personally, I prefer it off. Some may find it too short without. Personal preference.A good fountain pen, and a good size to keep in your pocket if a standard size is too big.Love the tin it comes in, too.

I am a big fan of Kaweco pens and I have 4 of them. My personal preference now is either the steel or the brass as I like the weight in the pen. There isn’t much difference in weight between the plastic and the aluminium and although I really like the pen as I said my personal preference is the heavier brass or stainless steel. The only note of caution I would say is the nib size is quite big. I have a medium and a broad in this aluminium version and it is quite broad compared to other brands broad pen. I would highly recommend this pen and indeed any Kaweco pen

Great design, but not great at actual writing. Ink doesn't flow reliably or smoothly. Doesn't post securely, can feel movement. Lamy Safari writing experience much more pleasant at a fraction of the price.

Lovely pen for a good price. The nib was rather dry and scratchy but after a bit of work spreading the tines and smoothing with a nail file + micromesh it's buttery smooth, truly a delight to right with.

Quality feel and well made. Would be five stars except it doesn't write as smoothly as I expected.
