No budging at all and easy enough to add/remove sections. Mine has been damaged by too many close cuts** A: You should be using the cut line indicators to position the guide, then slide them away from where the blade can make contact. I don't even use my cut guides, I think they're a nuisance. I know (and always check) the distance from the edge of my saw guide to the blade - 4 inches. I measure where I want to cut, add or remove 4 inches depending which side I want to cut, mark my wood both ends, put the guide in place and cut **Q: does it come with circular saw plate? if not please provide a link to buy it.** A: This is a staright edge guide, nothing more. You lock it in place where you want to cut and use your existing hand held circular saw which will have a base plate/saw guide already attached. The guide on the saw simply runs along the straight edge to keep you cutting a straight line.
