Mine works fine. The flow is good (don't expect super speed), and used on several multi-day hikes
It's better than the hand pump systems or "gravity" systems which are useless like Brita. The water pump speed is faster than good filtering hand pump systems, but slow: IE: it's being filtered! I like this product, and I've used it maybe 20 times, no issues.

good solution for my old camper
I was looking for a good water filter solution for my old camper. Water is super important, and though I sanitized the tank and filter all water going in, it's still a tank and I wanted more safety. There are a ton of options, like under sink, but my old camper doesn't have the room. Some folk install filters underneath the camper, but then they are subject to freezing. I looked at compact undersink designs, and decided it was maybe not such a good idea to disturb the current 25 year old plumbing. Then I looked at those "hang on the end of the faucet" designs, and decided it was a terrible idea to add a weight to a 25 year old system and then subject it to repeated pounding. So I settled on an end of the faucet attachment that mostly sat on the counter. But with all of the filters, there are so many reports of them failing, it was a discouraging thought, not one I was excited about. Then I found this. It solves all the issues I had. It's completely separate from my very old system so it can't inadvertently cause a leak. It filters out all the harmful stuff I was concerned about, it is simple to use - using any small power bank and hitting a button. It is reasonably fast - I just filter a gallon or so in the morning for my drinking water and don't worry about other water uses. Best of all, these folks offered a LIFETIME warranty. And I know these folks are listening to their customers because i watched a review of an early version of the filter and saw that in my version, they had addressed all the wishes the initial reviewer had mentioned! I am super happy with this solution. This lives in the handy little included nylon bag and hangs on a hook near my kitchen sink.

After one trip - absolutely amazing
After testing if it works at all at home I took it out camping without testing it before in outdoor conditions (silly thing to do, but clean water could be store bought on that trip so I risked it). Luckily for me, this thing turned out to be the best water filtering solution I've ever tested. 4 stars for ease of use, because you have to assemble the hoses, flush it back after use (seems like a smart thing to do) and disassemble after filtering, which is not bad at all, but takes a minute. Our water source was okay-ish, but not crystal clear, there was definitely green organic matter flowing out during the backflush after the filtering session. We've been filtering at least 12 liters a day (6L per session) for 6 days straight, without any issues or interventions aside from changing the output container. All on one set of 2xAA batteries that are still good. Zero hassle compared to gravity filters, works very quietly and decently fast - a bliss to use. The bag that comes with the filter fits all parts and everything necessary for maintenance + some batteries which is nice. Taste is perfect. Honestly tastes better than some tap water. The biggest issue I have with the filter is the placement of the power button. I go moto camping and I pack the filter bag into long drybags where stuff basically lies on top of one another, that way I had the filter turn on on me once - fortunately when I was packing it so I noticed immediately and turned it off. So the solution is to take one of the batteries out for packing - and leave one in, so the door snaps on securely. This is not convenient at all and the battery door material does not seem like the toughest plastic, so I don't know how long it will last. For now it's good.

The best system I have used.
I’ve tried various methods to purify water over the years and this is the best I’ve used by far. With most filter systems you still need either boil or treat your water before consuming. This filter removes the need for further treatment of water. I carry the manual filter while in backcountry and it has significantly reduced the amount of water I need to carry for extended hikes. It sets up easily, filters effectively, is light feels solid. Some people have commented the pump shaft may be a weak point - I don’t believe that to be the case. The whole thing is remarkably well engineered. I also have the battery powered version of the pump and this will be used at base camps or if needed in an emergency. It is heavier and bulkier than the manual - I would not take it in my pack. If you need to purify a large volume of water this is a must have. All in all you can’t go wrong with either of these filters.

Convenient, easy, and portable
I bought this a while back for backpacking/camping and emergency situations. I haven’t taken it on any outdoor activities yet but, twice we had an emergency water boil order so this filtration system came in very handy. I plug it into a power bank instead of an USB outlet not did I install any batteries just so I can see how much power it would drain from a power pack. I was able to fill up a 2 gallon Igloo water jug within approximately 15 minutes and it barely used stored power from the bank. Obviously it was tap water so there wouldn’t be any clarity issues but, the water tasted just fine. I was so impressed with the performance of this power operated filtration system I also bought the Survivor Pro manual pump one. Compared to other high end brands, the Survivor Pro X and Pro is little bigger but, not so heavy that it would be a burden if you were going to ruck it into the woods. I have several other brand filtration systems for backpacking so I can attest that it’s not bad at all. The Pro X is now my home emergency water filtration and the Pro will be for camping and backpacking. They are much more affordable and pretty easy to maintain as long as you keep extra filters available and handy. Just make sure it is cleaned and completely dried before storing it after using it.
