60 Machine Quilting Patterns (Dover Quilting)

Yes the quilting designs are tradtional but they are not prettyand they are very hard to do. (Harder than this beginner could manage at least :-( Instead I would recommend their other book, Amish Machine Quilting Patterns, which is just superb but is not a complete replacement for this one.The best thing in both books is the intro of how to package, hold and transfer the designs. Great ideas here. What is particularly special about this one though is that it is very good in giving you projects on building your skills. These sections could be invaluable (they helped me with my regular sewing) and should not be skipped. (The Amish book does not have the same skill builder section. )So this book is a mixed bag and had the designs been prettier I would have scored it higher particularly because of the skills section, but I consider the beauty aspect rather important. This is rather subjective so look at this book and see what you need more. For the price it's a great tutorial.

I've only owned a long-arm machine for six months, and the learning curve has been pretty steep. I have done free-motion quilting on my quilts, but wanted something a little more regular for a slightly more "formal" quilt. These templates are do-able with the laser or not. Some seem very similar to others, so I might recommend a little more variety.

This book is mostly border and sashing patterns with a few block patterns. I needed border patterns so it was a good book to get for that. Sewing directions are good. I like this book

I am learning to machine quilt, and this book has several patterns that are great. I have started practicing, using them. She is a great teacher on machine quilting.

Love the book, has great patterns which I enlarge or shrink in my printer. I write over them on Glad Press and Seal, and apply to my quilt.

This is a replacement for my original book that was "lost" when I moved. Book arrived in perfect condition, happy to have it.

Nice patterns although I haven't used any as yet.

this book contains a good selection of varied quilting patterns. They are all fairly large so, depending on the quilt you might have to scale them down. Well pleased with this purchase.

I bought this book because I bought a big quilting machine and needed some patterns.They are easy and clear to reproduce for use on the quilting machine.A good addition to a quilting reference library.

Bought for my sister in law who's recently got into quilting as part of her birthday pendent - she loved it!
