However, after saying that, if in really really cold weather (like minus temps) it would offer you extra room for wearing an additional liner glove. **Q: my son is xlarge. Are these mitts going to fit him?** A: My husband is a X large and there were snug. It is better for a mitts to be a little loose. **Q: Can you remove the pad on the back of the mitt?** A: yes the pad is removable **Q: Are these mittens waterproof? We would want to use them for snowboarding.** A: Yes, they are, just make sure you get the straps secure to keep water out. The only time I had an issue was having to pull them on and off repeatedly to start, and stop my snowblower. In fact, they are so warm, your hand will likely sweat. Plus the inner lining pulls out and can be washed, or dried if they do get damp. I used them 3-4 hours at a time, and they were great. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2843382-superior-glove-insulated-leather-extreme-cold-weather-mitts-snowd200-nylon](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2843382-superior-glove-insulated-leather-extreme-cold-weather-mitts-snowd200-nylon) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
