Originally Upjohn made the regain with minoxidil and it was just a lotion taken from the medicine and also did not need shaking . Now they make the foam which is simply easier to apply I am sure you do not need to shake it at all . )You do not shake foam bath wash either ) there is no need . I did my thesis on make pattern baldness in 1986 and minoxidil works . Be patient . First you may seem to be loosing some of the precious hair you have . That is normal . The roots are dead and need to grow again . Slowly over 6 months use you will see fine hairs start to regrow . If you see no improvement in 6-9 months the final layers of skin have already grown over the follicles and it can’t penetrate them. Very good luck . I can mention many famous people who started using minoxidil in the 80’s and still have great heads of hair in their 70’s and 80’s . Use exactly as prescribed and I always advised clients to only wash their hair every 3 days . People tend to wash their hair with every shower nowadays. This is of no help to the product which needs time to penetrate the hair follicles . That’s a long answer ! But explains no don’t shake it Jackie **Q: why this item is so expensive now??? , if I bought the same in August for the price of £40.99** A: I think it's because people say it makes your beard grow faster and they probably saw a positive result after they bought it. The higher the demand, the higher the price. **Q: Is this suitable for women?** A: My dermatologist said that there is no difference in between the male and female version as they both contain the same active ingredient. The only difference is the male is 5% and the female is 2%. This is mainly down to the unwanted side effect that it can cause facial hair. It has around my chin area slightly but I use a device now which has stopped facial hair (including peach fuzz) growing back. 9 months down the line, my hair is thicker and my fallout is back to normal. I have tons of baby hairs growing back. There are areas where the follicles had already died as I didn’t use it quick enough. My advice is, start it straight away, as once you root is dead, that’s it **Q: After applying the product if I sweat while exercising then would this be a problem as sweat would travel from hair to face** A: Why not just apply it before bed instead..? I think I'd just damaged the foilicles after plucking for so long during their formative years. I dye them cos I'm naturally fair and I spend a long time filling them in carefully. I know every hair on my brows lol After reading 8 million reviews online, I finally bought the men's extra strength stuff cos I'm after tough manly brows, of course and not these little lady-like fur lines on my forehead, obviously. I've been using this for about 9 weeks, sometimes x2 daily, sometimes once, and more often than not, forgetting for 2 or 3 days. No irritation or flakey skin, i do have pretty sensitive skin. Despite this, I can finally see obvious baby hair which are already making my brows look thicker, especially at each of the ends. I really didn't expect any growth considering I'm not religious with usage, plus its only been a couple of months instead of the year or so I'd been prepared for. The downsides is that I'm sloppy with application so I've got a fine and fair mono-brow also growing, no biggie. I've seen a lot of comments about the foam not working. Mine does come out as foam but turns to thin liquid almost immediately which is annoying. I should start using an eyeliner brush or something. It's not much of a drama. I use a 5p amount of foam per eyebrow and the bottle still feels like it has a decent amount in it.
