No, minimal skills with hand tools, wrenchs, etc. is helpful but not required. Comes with code installation video instructions, about 2 minutes long

Why is this product more expensive than other similar offerings

The Original Pivot was design and is still made in the USA. TFD is the original concept owner for this product all others are copies. Thus due to this we put R&D efforts into making this a perfect fit and funciton for the Peloton Bike

Is this easy to operate once on the bike

Yes, the advantage of the TFD pivot unlike all other copycats is the TFD Pivot turning torque can be adjusted by the user to their preference. To adjust to desired poisiton take only seconds.

How durable is this Pivot

TFD has performed many hours of testing. It is also hard anodized rather than most others which are either painted or soft anodized (there are two types of anodizing). Furhter any issues even years from tiem of Purchase TFD will stand behind product
