Good fitment and inexpensive fix for HPFP on and Audi A8 D4
Had an issue with car starting and diagnosed as pressure loss in fuel system. Tracked it down to the HPFP so took both of them off for cleaning. Short disassembly procedure, but you’ll need a special socket that is sold by 034 Motorsports and others for about $20. Stick all the parts into an ultrasonic cleaner using 50/50 isopropyl and distilled water for about an hour. Follow with a bath of 90% isopropyl and compressed air to make sure no water remains. Replace the O-rings, put the HPFP back together, install into the car and Shazam - save yourself at least $2k over replacing both high pressure fuel pumps.By the way, make sure you have a socket to turn the crankshaft when you put the HPFP back in. That socket runs about $60 and is the most expensive part of the process. 5000 miles later and no leaks.

easy to tear/deform
I've purchased this o-ring before from reputable parts stores that wouldn't sell anything of low quality, but it is extremely easy to ruin this product. I've installed and oiled the o-ring prior to reinstall the high pressure fuel pump on a 2010 (b8) audi a4 w/ CAEB engine, tightened the mounting bolts evenly, and this STILL gets caught on the edge and tears. after replacement of the HPFP - ALWAYS have extra of these around. any time that pump comes off, a new o ring should go on. i've had one on for less than 1000 miles and besides being torn from install (rough idle results), it was also hard as a rock when i tried to replace it. the replacement (from amazon) began to tear as soon as it was installed, after being liberally oiled. time will tell if this works, but i wrapped the oring in place w/ PTFE tape so that it wouldn't get caught on the lip of the vac pump cam follower housing. the idle definitely sounded better than when i had the torn oring in there.

Perfect fit.
this fits as it should on the gas pump, but not sure why the part (cams follower) itself does not come with this o-ring.
