Sturdy easy water globes for plants!
I wasn’t sure whether I would like these colorful watering globes but I needed something fast before I went on vacation. I took a gamble but they worked so well I have left them in some of my planters even now. My planters with flowers they blend in and sometimes are completely hidden. In others it just waters the plants perfectly without too much so that mold grows. It is easy to fill - two ways! Not sure if I will use it in my house because it is a very bright color but on my porch and outside it is great. I put some plants in my garage during the winter so it will be fine there too. It is sturdy too- I dropped one and no cracks!

Easy watering for my garden
I bought 3 packs of the carrots to use when I'm out of town this weekend. So out of the 12 only 10 hold water the other 2 the water just leaks out super fast. And yes it does have a seal on the bottle so I don't know why it's leaking. But that why I have it 4 stars. The other 10 are working great for 2 days now. Very fast shipping and they are super easy to use.

Don't waste your money
I was only gone away from home for two days. My plants are all undercover on my balcony outdoors in pots. I put two of these in a couple of pots. I returned home and my plants were wilted and these things served no purpose. I thought they would work good because of the ceramic part should absorb the water and release it into the dirt, but it didn't work that way. Three out of the 8 ( I ordered 2 boxes), I bought didn't release any water and the soil was dry due to the excessive heat wave here in VA . One of them started running water right out of it at the sink so it didn't even work from the get go. I love my plants and I was very disappointed. I guess I have no choice but to pay someone to water my flowers in the future. I thought being only two days this would be a good thing. Don't waste your money.

Great bug trap
The plastic is poor quality and fades in the sun after about 5 weeks. This however does not affect the performance. I have found these to work very well in my flower beds helping transplants to adjust with well delivered moisture. Be warned that bugs will enter the top and drown so you will have to clean them out every so often. I did receive one in each box where the terra cotta tip had fallen off but it was easy to reattach. Over all pleased with my purchase.

Ceramic is very thin.
One came with a broken tip, and will not work. Other 3 are good, but doubt they will last more than a season, as they are very thin.

Out of 4, 2 are functional
I like the idea that I can go on vacation without worrying that my plants will wilt because they didn't get watered. I researched and find that these "larger" sef watering spike will work for me. I ordered and tried it. Out of the 4, only 2 were working and the other 2 leaked water like a faucet. They didn't retain the water long enough to be able to insert them into the planter. I am not sure if ordering another set will solve the problem.

My plants survived 10 days
I love this, easy to install, just add water and stick it into the soil, each carrot last about 3 days, add more carrots for longer vacations.I used 3 carrots for 9 days, came back to happy and healthy plants.Useful as well for balancing water in the soil.

Happy
I'm happy with these little carrots. I'm a pretty neglectful plant caretaker, and usually only think about watering when my plant start looking yellow or droopy, so I thought these things could help tide my plants over between infrequent waterings. So far, so good! They're sturdy, and the water reservoir is larger than many other similar products, so I feel like it actually keeps the plants wet for quite a while. I'll usually water the plants thoroughly, then fill the carrots. I think they keep the plants moist for 2-4 days after they'd usually have gotten dry.The only annoying thing is that there needs to be some hole somewhere to let air out when you're filling them (like waterbottles that have little holes to allow air in while you're drinking). When you fill the carrots, there's no way for the air inside the bottle to get out, so it often backs up and spills. It helps to fill them up with a slow trickle, running along one of the "leaves" leading into the spout, but it'd be nice if there was a small air release hole somewhere on the top to let the air out for easier filling.
