NOT THE Best pepper mill I ever used!
Found this pepper mill to be just what I needed: easy to use with one hand while I am cooking , holds quite a bit of pepper pellets, doesnt leave a mess when I set it down, sleek and shiny and upscale ( not cheap looking) and the noise it makes when grinding is an acceptable whirring not a loud ear piercing screech. Had it less than a couple weeks but use it just about every meal since then and still full and working. Too bad it takes 6 AAA however for all the things I like about it , I accept that tradeoff. Very happy so far.AUG 18, 2016 UPDATE:I need to change my review to 1 star as I am now very disappointed with the Bravit peppermill. It worked great for about a month, then the grinding became sporadic. I changed all the batteries to brand new Amazon batteries. The weak and sporadic grinding did NOT improve. Shaking the mill helped very little. I changed to brand new Duracell batteries thinking the problem was the batteries. NO IMPROVEMENT.As one reviewer said, the size of ground pepper was also not consistent. I will just have to go back to grinding in my Magic Bullet. Very disappointed.

This grinder truly hits all the right marks and I am a hard critique, I don't easily give 5-stars!!
I have written several reviews on electric battery operated grinders. I think this one is the best one so far.The key is:1. tilt gravity operated design,2. no lid3. large capacity4. strong grinding mechanism. There are several other gravity operated grinders out there but some have lids on top. Bad idea--at least for me, it is. When I am cooking, I want to grab and grind. I don't have time to un-lid and grind. My one hand is usually busy holding or stirring something. My only free hand needs to grab the pepper/salt, tilt and dispense. And toss the grinder back on the shelf. Seriously, having to pop that lid is actually annoying.Large capacity means fewer refilling.Lastly, good grinding mechanism. I was skeptical at first and after 2 months of use... yes, this grinding mechanism is APPROVED by me. And I am a tough critique. NOW, listen, it is not as good as a grinding mechanism as that $80 grinder, ok? It is not. Yes it is a 6xAAA grinder (higher voltage) but it is just no comparison (repeat, no comparison) to $80 version American made grinder. But for $20 it is acceptable and BETTER than other $20 something grinders. Trust me, I tried them all and returned them all, each time more frustrated than before! That's why the initial skepticism of $20 grinder here.I can honestly write a 5-star review on this $20 grinder saying it meets all the important criteria for a good grinder, for $20 bucks. Again, won't compare it to my other $80 grinder. But this one will do nicely. I bought two of them and I still love them. One for pepper, the other for pink salt, naturally.Seriously, you want the one-handed operation. Open cabinet door, grab grinder, tilt and grind, return to shelf, close cabinet door. That's the typical sequence of use when cooking up a storm. There is no time to pop a lid or push a button. What's the difference, you ask, this tilt grinder vs. a push-button bottom grinder???? Can you just grab and push a button? Here's the difference: mess!! A bottom-grinder means after you set it down the crumbs of salts and pepper will be directly on your table, shelf, wherever you put it, right?! Ah ha! If you don't want to clean that up, a tilt grinder won't have that problem! The mess is self-contained. The mess only comes out when you tilt it.There are other bottom grinders that has a bottom lid to contain the mess. Well, that's two-handed operation. Not gonna cut it.So now you know why this grinder hit all the right marks!

Very good product
I have been using this for a few months now and I can say it was worth every penny, if you notice it is not alot of pennies. I bought two so that I would have a matching set. The motors are powerful enough for my peppercorns and sea salt crystals. I wasn't sure how the mechanism would work (turning it upside down) but that turns out to be handy and cool. The biggest reason I choose these grinders though was the large glass holding containers, they hold a tremendous amount of product. I was not compensated in any way for this review. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that before I could use one I broke the glass container and they do not offer spares for purchase. You have to purchase a new unit which I will do but feel like they should offer glass containers for sale.

Doesn't produce!
Doesn't grind well. I bought this because I read that it is good capacity for peppercorns and easy to fill. Both of those are true. It is also heavy, due to the glass pepper container, but that's ok. However, it grinds a bit and stops and I start again and that happens again. Also, the ground pepper is very uneven in size. Generally, for those reasons, it doesn't work as I had expected. I've had several battery operated mills prior to this and all have ground better, although some have been smaller capacity and some have been more difficult to fil. But, if you don't end up with a good ground pepper product, filling it is unimportant. By the way, I purchased the product, was not compensated. I got an email saying I could communicate complaints to the manufacturer, which I did. There was no response. Very disappointing.

Heave duty salt and pepper mills
The salt mill works great on Hawaiian rock sea salt, however, the pepper mill is very slow to grind and sounds like it is going to die, One must keep inverting it and shaking it to get the pepper to come out. I use a mix of black red, pink and green pepper that is great to spice things up, just a bit difficult to grind.

No staying power due to cheap construction
This pepper mill was a great idea for a busy home chef like me who usually only has one hand available! What a great concept to be able to stir and add pepper at same time.I’m disappointed however by the construction — this has cheap plastic inner parts that not even 11 months post purchase — have snapped off inside and now the unit can not detect if it is locked or not so will no longer work. Add more plastic to the landfill. :(

Great Grinder
This is not my first electronic gravity pepper grinder, although it looks like it may be my last! The glass peppercorn well is made of heavy glass and is easy to refill. While it may not grind peppercorn particularly fast, I am not competing on Chopped so "speed of grind" is not really a concern. When you're not using it, it also looks great on the counter. I would definitely purchase this product again.
