I am very glad I ordered this. The stock eye cup is so small when you put your eye against it you almost have to turn your head sideways or look at it from weird angles to use it, so its very uncomfortable. Also light easily can sneak in and obscure your view of the EVF when you are trying to take shots outside and see the image clearly when using the stock a7IV eyecup. This replacement eyecup solves both of these problems by making the eyecup comfortable and so your nose does not touch the screen and it also completely blocks out the light. Its only 14 bucks to solve the problem, and it literally makes the camera feel so much better. Some people complain it takes their eyes too far from the viewfinder, but since it is comfortable rubber you can just press your eye in a bit and that solves that problem, also the viewfinder is easy to see even without pressing in IMHO. You are never going to be able to have a perfect setup of eyecup to evf, so this is prob as close as you could get for the perfect stock eyecup for the a7IV. I think generally this will work for most people and they will be very happy with it.How to install:Its very easy to install, you just pinch the two buttons on the bottom of the stock a7iv rubber eyecup and slide it up and off (look closely and you wills see the little levers to pinch), then you slide the new eye cup on (from the top down) and it clicks in to place perfectly.

IMO, an essential eyepiece, especially for those with glasses.The soft eyecup blocks out more light, and one can push against it with glasses without damage to either glasses or eyecup.I bought several to have extras.Highly recommend this inexpensive improvement!

Its a well made product and for camera use without glasses provides a bit better shading. However, it sticks out too far for eyeglass wearers and you won't be able to see either side of the evf. That's on an a6600 with a lot of eyepoint. With less eyepoint cameras, this could be an issue for shooting without glasses as well. It takes 7mm off your eyepoint. That is significant.

Great fit and a nice large size so my nose isn't smashed on the screen. I use it on both my A1ii and A7Rv.

Really good quality eye cups. BUT will definitely make portrait shots a little more difficult. I would highly recommend this for sports & wildlife photography

Used on A1ii. Snaps in easy after removing the stock on. Deeper cup works great when shooting at an angle where the sun hits your eye. The cup is soft.

Snaps in securely to the A7iii, but it's long and the rubber is super hard. It might soften up over time, but that won't really change the fact that the length makes it obtrusive for people wearing glasses. You can't press your face in far enough, so with the glasses on you have a huge vignette like using a cheap film camera. Even without glasses you still can't see the entire viewfinder.
