The second volume of Geoff Johns' Flash run picks up right where the first one left off. This is the Wally West Flash, the former Kid Flash who wore the suit for 30 years until the status quo reset with Barry Allen put back in the costume. There were lingering storylines begun in volume 1 that finally get addressed in volume 2. Almost all of the plot lines get resolved in this volume, but lest you be thinking about not buying the forthcoming volume 3, the final page of this book kicks off a brand new plot line with a cliffhanger ending.Since I can't imagine many people will buy this without first reading volume 1, the natural question to ask about this volume is how does it compare to the first? And I'd say they are pretty even in quality, actually. (And I gave both books the same 4 star rating) I think both volumes had their highs and lows. This volume was more of a long build to the final five part story, whereas the first was more of a collection of mostly unrelated stories with a few long-term plot threads sprinkled in. In the first volume, the art was split pretty evenly between Angel Unzueta (who did the first half of the book) And Scott Kolins who did the second. In this volume Unzueta draws the first issue and Kollins does all but one of the rest of the issues. I personally prefer Unzuneta's more realistic style, but having the whole volume drawn by mostly the same artist is a nice plus.This volume collects The Flash 177-188, the Flash: Our Worlds at War #1, Flash Secret Files and Origins #3, and DC First: FLash/Superman #1.

Geoff Johns is probably the best flash write I've read if you like any other Flash comics or the TV show its a must read

Great story line and awesome artwork.

The story is pry on the same level as the 1st issue of the flash. August is dealing with the effects of Speed Force and Barry is still struggling to cope with learning about Wally. We do see this universe Wally doing some flash like things overall decent story. 7.5/10.0

Awesome story line. Nice drawings. Overall good comic to read. Perfect ending. Rouges characters are covered in detail. Good flash comics overall

El camino de Johns sigue, subiendo de nivel y uniendo finalmente las bases de lo planteado en el Volumen 1. Amo el trabajo de Collins con Flash, funcionan perfecto sus trazos con el personaje.

In diesen Band werden die Geschichten etwas interessanter, aber noch nicht auf dem Standard von Flash. Wieder nur für geduldige.

This is a great, long flash read! Contains a great twist and an awesome plan and final showdown. Defiantely recommend
