But, oh, my goodness! Quality matters! Many of the pins I started out using were too short to comfortably use and too flimsy to keep from bending or even breaking. The other issue I had with several different brands of straight pins that I used before ordering these is that the decorative or bulbous tops came off! But, this pretty straight pins that have arrived are so much better! The tops don't come off! The extra long pins are making their use much more comfortable for my hands and also are able to "grab" more fabric and hold it in place. And, perhaps most important of all, these are much less likely to bend or break. So glad I gambled (because I couldn't find any guidance online about how to determine the quality of straight pins)!
