Love it! It meets all my needs!
I have not used tanners in years because of the orange and yucky smelling products of the past. I recently did a little research and decided on this Bondi Foam. I have fair to medium skin and am in my mid-50's. I have used it 3 times in the last month. I don't have anything to compare it to other than the St. Tropez Classic Bronzer foam that I used once this week. They are pretty similar but I like the Bondi better and the Bondi is much less expensive. The ratings below aren’t comparing it to another product, just areas where it could improve to meet my needs. SMELL 9/10: No fake tanning smell during application or afterwards. Just a light nice smell. I don't wear or use any perfumed products and am hypersensitive to smells and I like it and it does not give me a headache. I gave it a 9 because no smell or lighter smell would always be better for me. APPLICATION 10/10: I followed the directions exactly as recommended (exfoliate and shave the day before, etc.) Easy application. Other than having someone else do it, I can’t imagine what would make it easier. I like how you can see the color so you know where you've been. I used the mitt everywhere and the back thing for my back. I go over my elbows, knees, and ankles again with the other side of the mitt to get any extra product off. I use it for my face but very lightly. Am thinking of trying a face only product in the future. I apply it while wearing an old bathing suit and then after about an hour, I put loose dark clothes on. WAIT 8/10: I avoid activities that would make me sweat for the day. After 7-8 hours, I thoroughly rinse off - no soap. I wait to shower with soap until the next day. Obviously, a shorter wait to resume regular dress, normal activities, and shower with soap would be better. I wonder if the express Bondi products are as good and may try in the future. TRANSFER 10/10: No transfer onto dark clothes during the 7-8 wait or white bed sheets after the rinse. COLOR 9/10: Since it's spring and I want it to look natural, I use the "Light/Medium" and it gets me a little more than sunkissed. I do the "re-apply after 30 minute" option. I do not get any streaks or blotchiness. If I need it in the summer, I would use the dark instead. MOISTERIZING 8/10: It doesn't make me feel dried out but I also don't feel moisturized. However, I don’t need this product to make me feel moisturized because I have my own creams and lotions I use afterwards. LONGEVITY 9/10: Lasts approximately 6-7 days as far as I can tell. I don’t need to shave everyday so that probably helps.

Natural Glow Without the Streaks
This self tanning foam delivers a beautiful, natural looking tan that develops evenly and fades gracefully. It is lightweight, easy to apply, and gives a healthy glow without looking orange or patchy. 🔹 Smooth, Even Application The foam texture spreads effortlessly and absorbs quickly into the skin. With a mitt, it blends seamlessly and does not leave streaks or uneven spots. The color guide helps ensure you do not miss any areas. 🔹 Natural, Buildable Color The Light/Medium shade gives a realistic sun kissed finish that can be layered for a deeper tone. It looks fresh and radiant rather than overly dark or artificial. 🔹 Pleasant Scent and Skin Friendly Enriched with aloe vera and coconut, it feels gentle on the skin. The scent is much lighter compared to many other self tanners and does not have an overpowering after smell. ✅ Pros: Streak free, even results Lightweight and fast drying foam Natural looking, buildable color Pleasant scent compared to most tanners Fades evenly without blotchiness ❌ Cons: Needs a mitt for best results May require reapplication after several days to maintain depth Overall: An excellent self tanner that delivers reliable, natural results with minimal effort. Perfect for achieving a smooth, healthy glow year round.

Affordable and Fool Proof !
I'm an extremely pale person. Im talking like Irish white but with dark hair. I'd say im about a shade or two darker than the whitest foundation shade like from IT cosmetics brand because i use "fair light" and its too dark for me but i use it anyway. I never write reviews but I feel like I need to for this product because I was nervous to buy it and read the reviews and im happy i purchased it. If you aren't sure where to start with tanning just buy this, im not kidding. You cant go wrong. The only other tanner Ive used is coco and eve and im comparing it to this. The coco and eve left streaks and did not want to fully dry for me, it also did not want to come off and I had to really scrub it off and it clung to every dry spot on my entire body. The Bondisands blended in great, their mitt was all I needed to put it on and it came out a nice glowy slightly darker than my own skin color. I actually left this on the rest of the day and overnight and it sat well, did not streak even after cleaning the house and giving my baby a bath (which i was worried about it washing off and being streaky but it was fine!) And then i went to bed and slept in it and it did not transfer on my sheets and woke up and showered it off. I did not see it coming off my skin orange in the shower either, the coco and eve basically washed off orange when i showered. Afterwards, we are not talking drastic change do not expect that ,but it was a nice little glow. If you want a foolproof tan to test out before going out in public that you know wont make you look orange this is the product for you. It will give you a glow and it helped boost my confidence a little bit and that's why we purchase things like this anyway right? And it's very affordable. So my plan now is to keep buying this and "maintain" it, and maybe try a darker color in this brand before my vacation because nobody wants to feel like the only pasty white person on the beach 😅 and nobody wants skin cancer either! I go in the tanning bed here and there but I dont feel great about it so when I am feeling particularly pasty like in the summer time and can't hide my legs and arms then bondi sands will be my go to from here on out. Look in the photo you can tell where the tan is because i avoided my hands because it was a catastrophic event when i used the coco and eve my hands were very orange i learned not to put it on my hands the hard way. Next time I think ill put slightly more on the top of my palms I was just really nervous to be orange and im off this week so I did this as an experiment in case it came out bad I had no where to be. I hope this helps!

Beautiful color, faded quickly on me.
This works great and has a beautiful color. I think it fades slightly faster than some other tanners, though. The scent is not overpowering and it didn't come off on sheets after I showered (some others have shed color afterwards).

Great self tanner
I've only used a few self tanners, but they all had that orange finish and a stinky smell that all us girls know means fake tan. A friend told me of this tanner, he had used many and said this was the best. I can honestly say it has given the most natural look. Very easy to apply (I got the mit)...no orange, so streaks and no smell.... after you shower off that is. At first after applying I thought, nope not gonna like it, the color was odd and there was a tad smell. But after wearing about 6hrs...per instructions, I showered and when the color started running, I thought great, that didn't last long (just another reason to not like it) but when I got out and dried off......wow.....great color! I really loved it. No thick orange color around knees, ankles, no odd smell. Directions say for best color reapply 30 min after initial application, I did not do that as I was testing out product and used only on my legs as I have a long sleeve dress for a wedding and very white legs, and really wanted a subtle natural color, not a true tan. I have no doubt the second coat would have achieved a nice deeper color.

EXTREMELY PALE BROTHERS AND SISTERS-this is the one. Keep reading. Light/medium
Hello universe! I cannot speak for others. But for my objective (a natural, healthy skin tone that isn’t necessarily TAN but rather NOT PALE, keep reading). I am one of the most pale people on the planet. And that’s no joke. I’m a natural red head guy with skin as white as milk. I think men don’t use products like this that often but I often get made fun of for how pale I am. So here we are! To start, I do NOT want to look “tan”. That would be too obvious. I want to look NOT PALE. if that’s your goal, this may be helpful. I have tried a few other brands, including jergen’s natural glow (light to medium), Jergen’s self tan mousse (light to medium), and tan luxe drops (also light to medium). All of these products would tint me orange at various body crevices but would not actually add color to my arms/legs/skin (sorry couldn’t think of a better way to say this haha), even when I heavily exfoliate and moisturize the dry areas. I would have weird looking limbs in the sunlight that would make me look like I got poisoned and my arms and legs were still WHITE AF. Or, I tried the St Tropez instant mousse (again, light to medium) and that product was comprehensive but made it look like I put an orange-y tan layer of skin all over my body. It even peeled off on my arm and made me think I was wearing a tan skin suit. It was very noticeable HAHAHA. Anyways, that’s my background before trying this product. I’ve watched countless tutorials on how to apply this stuff and I was pretty confident it was not user error, and that My skin just wasnt compatible with most common tanners. I was about to give up. I figured I would try this. Honestly I had low expectations because I thought, going into this, that this product would be like the St Tropez instant mouse and make me look ridiculously tan/orange (I AM TRYING TO LOOK LIGHT -> MEDIUM, NOT LIGHT -> WANNABE VERSION OF OOMPA LOOMPA). My first attempt with the product, I left it on overnight. This was kinda gross, similar to other tanners. Also, the coconut smell is nice, but as a guy it’s not very subtle. Secondly, when you sleep in it, your entire room smells like a coconut bomb went off and I still can’t get the smell completely out. So I don’t really recommend sleeping in this product if you can help it. I still gave 5 stars for scent though because this scent somehow masks the self tan scent that other products give you. And I know you may be thinking “no way. Every self tan smells like shit”. And I would believe you. I’ve been there. But they put a shit ton of coconut in here. BUT TO ALL MY EXTREME* PALE BROS AND SISTERS OF THE WORLD, I have a pro tip. If you wear it the full time (6 hours or so), maybe you’ll like the color. But for me, it was a bit too tinted and was kinda a giveaway that I was fake tanning. I think my friends could tell. My objective (which is probably different than others, who want to look beach tan) is to look healthy and not radiantly white. I just want enough skin color that I don’t look like milk, and people can still make fun of me for being slightly paler than average, but ideally nobody would notice that I’m using a product. And MY TIP (finally, sorry for writing so much) is to apply this for 1-3 hours, and then rinse. You might be thinking, that’s not allowed! This ISNT an express tan! But let me tell you - the back of the bottle even says you can rinse after one hour. Now, after one hour, my face, and upper body, look perfectly colored to the point where I am not a ghost, but I am not tan. I am a healthy normal skin tone. My legs usually require 2-3 hours before rinsing (or do a second application of 1 hour, which is what I’m doing as I write this review hahaha). I think your leg skin is thicker. Or my leg hair is causing problems hahaha. Anyways. That has helped me to find a perfect solution to my problem. I will apply in the evening after work for an hour or two, or in the morning before leaving (after following a normal routine of shower > exfoliate with a hand mitt > moisturize elbows, armpits, knees, ankles, and wrists). I hope this helps someone. It would have helped me a while ago if someone (a guy preferably) helped me with this and gave me a solution I was looking for. It usually lasts around half a week. So you may have to apply twice a week. I know that’s not ideal. But if youre only wearing it for an hour or two, like me, it’s pretty easy to fit in to your routine. I also found a mitt on Amazon that came with a face mitt applicator - this face mitt thing saved my life. I was always afraid to apply self tan to my face (again, as a guy I feel like it will be MUCH MORE NOTICEABLE, if you screw this shit up - people will notice you look weird and you can’t put makeup on to fix your mistakes) - but a face tan mitt saved the day. Again, when you only leave this product on for an hour, it really doesn’t do a TON, so you almost can’t mess it up. I’m serious. I even soaked my finger in the product for an hour on accident, and when I rinsed it off the finger was just slightly darker than the rest. Easy mistake. Again, that’s another perk of only keeping this on a short period of time, there’s less chance of error. Good luck friends!

Doesn’t stink like sk
Product tans well, goes on smooth, and it is easy to tell what is covered due to the color of the foam. It helps to not end up with streaks or missed spots. The tan is natural looking, and perhaps best of all, it doesn’t stink!

Very good pros, very bad cons.
After using this product for close to a month, there’s some very positive pros and very negative cons. Pros: - Very natural looking color once applied. Goes on easily with a mit or brush, very easy to blend and see where you need to apply more - Isn’t too overpowering once developed. Longer development time and you can keep reapplying to get desired color - Lasts about 2-3 days. Fades evenly. - No orange cast - has pink undertone. Cons: - Transfers pink stains to everything. Even after allowing more than sufficient time to dry, you will transfer a pink tint onto everything you come into contact with as long as you have the product on. Sheets, leather car seats, office chair, you name it. It stains everything. The stain is very very difficult to get out and has not successfully come out of a plastic chair or clothing. Just be mindful of this if you’re in contact with anything other than dark colors. - After showering, you’ll probably be two shades lighter than you thought you would be. It’s hard to gauge how long to leave the product on because it takes a while to develop, but then after showering you’ll notice places where I didn’t fully take that you thought were sufficiently covered. As such, you need to now reapply again, which means more product used. Overall, this didn’t last me as long as I would have liked for the price tag.

My favourite Self Tanner
I’ve been using Bondi Sands for years, and is my favourite. It gives such a natural, even tan, no orange tones, no streaks, and it fades beautifully over time. The formula is easy to apply, especially with a mitt, and I actually love the scent. It dries quickly, develops into a golden glow, and makes my skin look sun-kissed without the sun damage. If you’re looking for a reliable, go-to tan that’s beginner-friendly but salon-level good, this is the one!
