Have to take off the fan housing to change the alternator, Did that 3 times no problem, The last one, the fan housing nicked a tube, Maybe more, Fiberglassed the are and though that took care of it, Damn still a leak, Bought this and just threw on the whole bottle. I was loosing patience. When 4 miles and checked, NO LEAK!!! Works like is has for the past 40 years. Don't need it often but when you do it is a life saver. Have had a problem with it.

I had a very minor water leak on the side of my engine, an early warning sign of a wearing-out head gasket. With a single application, Alumaseal completely resealed the entire cooling system and I haven’t had a single problem since! It’s been over 15,000 miles since applied and I haven’t had any issues at all. After having the engine inspected to make sure the seal would hold, my mechanics told me I should be in perfect shape for a while.I do NOT recommend using this as a quick fix for a major leaking issue. It is extremely important to take your vehicle to a mechanic as soon as you’re able when you’ve discovered any fluid leaking problem. This is an excellent product if you need to make a quick repair to a minor problem.

Not only does it seal better than others because it is very fine powdered aluminum, it actually has the ability to lubricate the water pump! Always a go to for small situations.
