JETSTREAM PRIME Twist Mechanism Accessory Pack - 4 Black Hybrid Ink Refills (0.5mm)

Very smooth writer, nice and sharp line. Haven’t had any hard starts or smearing issues at all.

My job requires me to often fill out forms or write things down. Over time, I have become particular about pens as I have to use one extensively. I prefer a fine-tip pen, 0.5 mm being ideal for my purposes. The Jetstream Prime Twist refill does come in medium and larger tips as well. This is a Parker style refill so it could be used in any pen that takes a Parker refill. This Jetstream refill made by Uni-Ball(Uni?) a brand manufactured by the Mitsubishi Pencil Co. Apparently, the MPC is not affiliated in any with the Mitsubishi automotive and heavy industries conglomerate we are all familiar with despite having the same logo. The Uni brand has a good reputation for quality writing instruments. This Jetstream ink is a low viscosity oil-based ink designed to compete with gel-based inks. It claims the crisp sharpness and fast drying of a gel ink but with the smoothness, waterproofness and longevity of an oil based ink. Jetstream ink is held in high regard by Jet Pens....and they'd know. Prior to this, my absolute favorite fine-tip Parker refill has been the Ohto Flash-Dry Gel 0.5mm. It's a pleasure to write with. The best. But.....they are hard to come by and expensive to boot at $5 per refill cartridge. So...I needed a more economic alternative. How did the Jetstream Prime Twist refill stack up? I am pleased to report, it's as good or better than my beloved Ohto Flash-Dry ink. No smudges, smooth, crisp lines. It's really quite good. I was very surprised that an oil-based ink could write as nice as this. I will definitely be buying this one in the future. You won't be disappointed if you give this one a try. Five stars Uni-Ball!

It was as advertised

It sounds silly to review a pen. But all pens are not created the same. This is a Japanese brand known for developing what many feel is the smoothest and best ink pen. This version particularly is felt to be the GOAT of pens. Highly reccomend. Writes smoothly and consistently. Doesn't smear. The fine point is in my opinion almost too fine. It's like writing with a needle dipped in ink.

This refill fits all Parker Style G2 sizes. This is my FAVORITE fine-tip ink. Writes beautifully, and makes extremely even and thin lines. Great for fine details and even cross hatching. Good dark color. See attached photo. This refill made the thinner black lines (the blue lines is a different brand if y'all interested). The top thick lines with bleed off is a totally different pen refill, so don't worry. I love thin extra fine lines, especially because I like to sketch alot. So far, I have not seen a SINGLE example of bleed off or pooling of ink from this. After doing research, nearly everyone suggests this pen refill for Parker style G2. I would HIGHLY recommend this for people who either like thin lines while writing, or doing little pen sketches in a notebook. Great pen refill and in my opinion well worth the price. Will buy this whenever my ink runs out.
