The plastic ‘U’ bracket doesn’t work on 4 x 4 posts per the instructions. This is due to the 2 screw heads used to attach the ‘U’ bracket to top of post stick up causing the light to not mount flat to bracket and also causing the 2 side screws to not line up (between the ‘U’ bracket and light base - see picture)- a major design flaw. To use, I took out the reflector and drilled out the 2 bottom holes in the light base and attached the light directly to the post via 2 long wood screws - didn’t use the ‘U’ bracket. This works if your post top is flat. The screws that come with it are silver when they should be black to better hid them, but it seems the silver screws are standard for about any light you purchase. The light base is a little large for 4 x 4 post which is actually 3.5 x 3.5 inches which results in a slightly noticeable gap between the post and light base (see picture). The light level seems less than the 25 Lumens advertised, but don’t really know. The Amount of light from a 3.5 ft. post height will not be enough to light a walkway due to the low light level and shadow directly around the post. They look nice (accept for the gap) and provide a nice light pattern. I’m not sure about durability and water tightness since we just purchase. I suspect they’ll collect water in base.

I was looking for a post cap that would replace one that had failed due to corrosion; this appeared to be a good fit. My posts are covered with a 4" vinyl sleeve so the direct mounting option was best. To reach the mounting holes requires removing the pyramid mirror: this is difficult without damaging the reflective surface. The provided screws did not match the mounting holes: I opened up the mounting holes about 1/16" to use the provided hardware. Once the caps were modified they slipped right over the vinyl cover and screwed into the interior post -- 4 caps mounted in about a half hour.

These light are great. They fit all different size columns. The light is bright and lasts at least 8hrs. We’ve had them for 2 months so far they held up in high winds, snow and rain. We have no light pollution around our off grid getaway so I was glad at how well they light the staircase. Not too bright and fake, just a nice warm colored large area. They are just as bright as the day we got them. I thing the metal housing will hold up for a long time. The shadows they through are really cool, you can definitely tell them it’s sun rays. I wanted to buy another set for another area but they are out of stock.

These are great. They are beautiful and add just enough light. We have ours by our pool and we are really happy! We purchased four sets total! Will buy again! Their charge lasts until till way early in the morning. After 2 months half of them don’t light anymore.

These lights are bright and beautiful and the pattern when lit looks great. After a day of sun, they last all night and are still on at daybreak.

Very pretty one of the lights is very bright the other is not so bright but I’m guessing maybe it’s just not getting enough sun or possibly have to change a battery I’m not really sure. But they are new so it should work. But it’s a very pretty I am very easy to put up. I didn’t realize they were motion sensor and I don’t think mine are maybe I’m wrong. Nice item

Great looking soft lights. These are more for very soft lighting, not to light up an area. They do throw off a beautiful pattern. If you are looking for post lights that give off a lot of light, these will not do the trick.

It’s been 3 months and one of them stopped working completely, it began to get dimmer after 2 months now doesn’t work at all. Wish I could still get my money back!
