Loxley 2 x Artists Picture Varnish Spray, Satin, Metal, Transparent Clear, 400ml

It says to use outdoors or in very well ventilated area (like in a shed - not in the house). This has a really noxious smell of solvents when you are using it. The painting loses the smell almost immediately but it remains wherever you sprayed it, even outside.I am not used to oil painting and this is the first time I have used anything like this. My painting was patchy where I mixed paints differently, some areas glossy some matt. After a spray with this, it has taken on an even satin finish. Initially I thought I had lost saturation and contrast, but I am not sure. My picture looks more even, like a photo now rather than different glossy and matt bits.It has done what it said on the tin, but I would rather use something that doesnt smell so strongly in use.
