Took a chance and bought it for a Dell Inspiron 3567. It fit and works great.

I believe this is a 9.5mm deep caddy and it worked well for securing the 1TB Samsung EVO 960 Solid State Drive (SSD) I got on a Black Friday sale at Best Buy. I had to take out the optical drive that came with my Dell 15 3567 laptop in order to create space for the new SSD that I loaded into this caddy. I kept the original 2TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) in its original position within the laptop. Samsung's data migration software that I downloaded off the Samsung website allowed me to make the new solid state drive the boot drive as I was able to migrate the operating system, programs, and data files from the existing HDD to the new SSD. Then I was able to change the BIOS setting to boot from the new SSD rather than the existing HDD. I was a little anxious whether I'd be able to get the plastic end off the existing optical drive without breaking it, but managed to do so. The plastic end taken from the optical drive did line up with the slots on the caddy used for the new SSD, but the entire piece doesn't sit perfectly flush to the side of the laptop like it did with the original optical drive.

So far, so good. I highly recommend that you watch the videos that are referenced on the instruction "sticker" that is included in the box. Although the video shows what appears to be an older design, it covers all of the little tricks you'll need for a successful install. I had taken the wrong screw out and would have likely broken my optical drive bezel trying to remove the drive had I not decided to watch the video.It comes with a bezel, but it is a one-size piece. You will do better to carefully remove your existing bezel. BE CAREFUL when you open the packaging - there may be one or more tiny retaining screws trying to fall out.If I have any problems going forward, I will update my review.

I love this thing. Now I have a 2TB drive in place of my old DVD drive that I rarely used. Windows 10 is on a new SSD and all data is not on the TB drive in the caddy.Removing the CD-ROM drive was easy and this just pops right in. The most difficult part of the swap was getting the bezel off my old CD-ROM to put put it onto this caddy. This caddy does come with a new bezel but I wanted the original Dell bezel.Easy install. Great price.
