KC Natural Paleo AIP Barbecue Sauce, Mastodon Flavor, 14 oz (2 Pack)

This is a great alternative for family members with autoimmune diets. Was concerned about packaging because it came with other items but it was well wrapped and boxed.

This is awesome BBQ sauce!! I always tell people that it tastes like A1 sauce, but a healthier version. Not spicy at all, it has a bit of sweetness to it. It is a bit watery for a BBQ sauce, I would say a little thicker than the consistency of A1 sauce as well. We really enjoy it as a nice AIP option! Even my kids choose this BBQ sauce over the others we have in teh fridge for them.

This BBQ sauce is great, especially for those on the AIP diet! It's very tasty, and has a nice smokey flavor as well, though it can be slightly gritty at times. Would definitely recommend, though we typically wil purchase locally.

I've been eating paleo for a few years and most recently AIP and I like to think I have a pretty good palate as a chefs daughter and I was honestly skeptical about buying this as the reviews were mixed but I'm seriously so glad I did! IT IS SO GOOD!!! I used a half a bottle to marinade some pork shoulder chunks and the next day threw it in the slow cooker for 8 hours (low) then removed liquids and added the rest of the bottle and a bit of salt and it was DELICIOUS!! The best BBQ sauce I've tasted in a while! As other reviewers stated it is more of liquid than a thick sauce, I wouldn't necessarily use it as a dip although I'm sure if you cook it down a bit, maybe add a little arrowroot slurry it could be that. It has a sweet/smoky flavor and definitely best to use it in cooking preparations and as a marinade. This is definitely my go-to BBQ sauce from now on!

Did not care for the taste....

The idea of an AIP sauce intrigued me enough to buy it. Not a fan though. Its not a good balance of flavors imo, recipe could be improved greatly. I feel that it tastes too much like carrot and smoke flavor, and thats about it. My husband didnt mind it so he will be finishing the bottle.

I have been on the AIP for a few months now and was really craving some good BBQ pulled pork. I made my own nomato sauce but it just wasn’t cutting it, so I turned to the internet to find something delicious. This sauce is IT! It’s got all of the flavors of BBQ with none of the non-AIP ingredients. My only complaint is the cost, but I understand supply and demand and the cost of good ingredients play into that. I’ll definitely be putting this on my Christmas wish list! :)

Very happy with this purchase. I've used this sauce on chicken wings, chicken breast, and turkey hot dogs. It tastes like regular BBQ sauce to me! I was skeptical because I also ordered the KC Natural No Tomato sauce and did not like it at all on my cassava pasta (i will try it again during reintroductions to see if it goes better with something else). But the Mastodon BBQ sauce is the real deal! So glad to make the rare find of a compliant product so I don't have to add to my cooking!
