Brilliant product
I wanted to buy this for ages but wasn’t sure, some reviewers loved it but a few didn’t and said it looked orange. Decided to give it a go, ordered Fair using the photos to select the right colour for me. I am 62 with combination skin and this product is perfect for me (not orange at all). When I put it on it appears exactly same colour as my natural skin tone and just enhances my skin so it looks smoother and a better version of me without looking overdone. It’s so quick and easy to apply as well using a kabuki brush. It doesn’t settle in the large pores/dry skin on my nose like a liquid foundation does either which is a huge bonus. It is light to medium coverage as it says on the website, which is good for me particularly for day to day day wear. Brilliant product I love it, well worth buying 👍

First time buyer in UK
After using the same foundation for the past 10 years, it was time for a change. The foundation I used in my 40’s no longer looked good in my 50’s and sat in my fine lines or made my skin look caked & dry. I’d done lots of research into different brands and it was a choice between Jones Road or Laura Geller. After watching a lot of videos, reviews & tutorials decided to give LG a go as it was less expensive. I’ve always brought make up in store but was reassured by their free returns/exchange policy incase the shade wasn’t right. I also liked the fact that they were Cruelty Free - something that was important to me but not immediately obvious on their website, I had to do some research to find this out (Laura Geller you’re missing a trick here!) I was pleased with the packaging and how the product looked but was really impressed with how the actual product worked for me. I’ve found dabbing a little on at a time with a big brush helps build the coverage to your liking. It definitely doesn’t sit in my fine lines and doesn’t look cakey. You can achieve a natural look easily and it’s long lasting. It definitely covers the redness on my nose & cheeks. I’ve been so impressed with this I ordered the next shade down too as my skin colour changes in winter in the UK when I lose my tan. I also ordered the Baked Starter Kit direct from LG in the USA as the discount was better. I’ve been beyond impressed with this. As a blonde with pinky tones, the colour choices are perfect and the products stay put. I’ve never been able to blend eyeshadow effectively but this colour combo and product makes me look like a pro!! So, a big YES for Laura Geller from the UK for me, great value for money and great products which are easy to use and compliment mature skin beautifully!

Good product but be careful choosing the right colour
I like the texture and it covers the skin evenly , my skin looks smooth and not shiny, the wrinkles are not highlighted . Not sure about the colour though . Initially I bought a “fair” shade ( second lightest) as I have olive complexion but it did look very orange on my face and I am not exaggerating, it is orange ! I couldn’t send it back as it was open , but I bought a lighter “porcelain” shade which is ok on my face and I am using a “fair” one as a blush/bronze power for my cheeks.

Expensive but good
Very nice but expensive, have found a cheaper option that’s not quite a good but does what I need

Smaller than I thought and well ....just not sure about it tbh
I've been seeing this brand on FB and thought it looked quite nice, people seem to rave about it being a non heavy powder type cover for those of us not liking heavy makeup. I went on the website and checked which shade I should probably go for and it suggested light so I went with that. At this point I should probably say I only really went for it as it was 30% ish off and with prime delivery, it made it more affordable to try but still at over £20 for a shot in the dark I was keeping my fingers crossed it would be worth it. I should probably also say that I rarely wear makeup, don't have great skin, a return to blemishes in my fifties ...yaaay menopause! and very visible pores. Anyway... it arrived and my first thought was "Is this it? I thought it would be bigger" I've no idea why other than it just looks bigger when those ladies are "swooshing " their kabuki brushes over it . I'm opening the small box to find an, obviously, even smaller case with a domed top and quite thick plastic so it getting more diminutive with each layer removed. At this point I'm kind of unimpressed but carry on. On opening the compact case, there is a small mirror on the lid, like a half circle, this has fingerprints on it so I've either got a returned one (which I wouldn't think would be allowable with a personal product for hygiene reasons) or they were put on there at manufacture which, again ... ??. SO I think ....Welllll it doesn't look as though it's been used ....maybe just try it a little? Oh dear! Hmmm , well (shrugs) started off like I couldn't see a difference where I'd applied it so added a bit more, all of a sudden I'm pale with huge cavernous pores, EEK! I think "maybe I've done something wrong, try a bit more and it's supposed to "fill" the pores. Step back and my face seems to be turning orange.... and crinkly (I have frown lines - elevens I think people call them? and quite deep lines from my nose to corners of my mouth (serious menopause RBF) but not wrinkles or lines other than that sort of thing. Now I look like the love child of the head oompa loompa and Miss Havisham! Horrified , I grabbed a damp flannel and basically sort of pressed it to my face to blot the worst of it off. Significantly improved! Dampened and less powdery, I see more of a glowy type thing going on but chances are I've now turned powder to paste a la polyfilla and blocked every pore in the vicinity So as a non makeup user, I likely did something wrong even though you supposedly just "swoosh and dust" type of thing. To any experienced user of such frippery (oh gawd I really sound like the old battleaxe now!) who may have made it this far into my ramblings, you're probably rolling your eyes and tutting at my ineptitude and know EXACTLY where I/it went so wrong. Unfortunately you're not able to tell me as comments are no longer a thing on here but hey ho. I can confirm it is multi coloured pressed powder, it does seem to change colour but not exactly to match my skin tone ....other than that I reckon it's a bit lacking in quantity for the price. Make of that what you will and hope you have better luck with it than I did if you decide to go ahead and buy it

feel duped :(
I feel like I've been scammed. I finally tried this when it came on the BF deal and I was super excited to try it. I have facial redness which I honestly dislike a lot so decided to try make up. I do have rosacea so I have a brighter red cheek & red veins on my cheeks/nose. My cheeks are what go deep red. I looked at the reviews & the photos and videos of others using this and I was keen to try this. it does go on smooth I even brought the right brush to use this, I applied like the videos showed and honestly I just looked like I had regular face powder on. The ONLY time I noticed it was different was when I removed it at bed time it took me two wool pads to fully remove this so it obviously does go on like cream but I didn't get that look/effect. It did nothing for my redness. When I removed this at bed time I have the start of a rosacea pimple (if you have this condition you know it is horrible because they are painful & cannot be popped like regular spots). If my rosacea starts to flare it will react pretty quickly to products so I know I won't use this again. my skin felt smooth while this was on but my skin is soft anyway so it wasn't this product that made it soft. The look was just like regular powder Only seemed like foundation when removing it took 2 wool pads to fully be off (I did not over use the product I did two sweeps over my face for the redness cover). I am now put off pressed foundation since trying this and not seeing any difference so its back to the drawing board for me :( super annoyed. I've had months of this product targetting me to try promising it works for all us women etc and I have been duped I won't be fooled again.

Love it love it love it.
Love it, Love it. Love it I tried all three of the baked foundations and for me this is my favourite and perfect for a daytime look. It is super quick and easy to apply (so long as you have the right tools - ie the retractable beauty brush) and mess free!. It's just the right finish fot me and has a nice luminosity which is enough to give a nice dewey look without being too shiny. I am very fair skinned so could have probably got away with either the fair or porcelain shade but went with porcelain (the lightest shade) for it's pink tones as my skin can tend to look a bit sallow sometimes. It has a real brightening effect which brings the skin to life, it doesn't look or feel heavy or like you are wearing heavy make up or look 'mask like' or cakey as some liquid foundation can. It's a lovely natural finish which is just enough to even skin tone and bring your face to life. Some reviewers have commented they found it a bit pricey but one thing to remember is that one of these will easily last for months of end and you would probably have had to buy at least 4 bottles of liquid foundation before this needed replacing. Others have said they feel this doesn't give enough coverage. Although this is buildable it is designed to give a natural light to medium coverage. If you want a fuller coverage I would recommend using the double take foundation with either this or balance and glow on top. When I apply this (or any of the baked foundations) I always put a little face oil first ( due to my skin being probt yo dryness) and let it sir a few minutes before applying the foundation. I feel like the oil helps it adhere my skin. I also find a make up fixing mist helps set it in place. Before this I tried the balance and glow but found it too shiny to use on its own, although it does work extremely well on top of the double take full coverage foundation when I want more of a full make up look - such as on a night out.
