Rugged and Bright
I installed two of these lights on the rear of my farm tractor to help highway traffic see me. The light body is a solid piece of aluminum, and the LED lights are recessed and protected from limbs or whatever. The strobe lights are plenty bright, even in direct sunlight. Too early to speak to longevity, but so far, I'm very pleased.

Excellent strobe for the price.
My service truck was equipped with top quality Whelen strobes all around. A few have gone bad, now that its 12 years old. Neing an older truck now, I didn't want to shell out the money Whelen wants for direct replacements. The body builder hadn't wired in the controller for multiple flash patterns any, which the Whelen's are capable of - just run of the mill "quad flash" when you turn on power. These fit that function perfectly. In fact i think they ate noticeably brighter/ more intense than the Whelens I still have on the unit. The housings are pretty good quality, overall look and finish seems great, and I could see using them on a new body build when I need to.

Just in time!
The media could not be loaded. Within 24 hours of instal, a fuel injector went out and I was stuck on the side of the road. These lights helped people see my truck so much better! These are nearly as bright as my wheelen strobe lights on the trucks at work.I discarded the foam backer for these lights and used a high quality clear silicone around the plastic base and between the plastic base and the aluminum housing. Any moisture can only get into these lights where the wires come out the back, but with the silicone I tested them at 1400psi with my pressure washer with no problems!
