Looks great on the wall, like a piece of art

It's quite nice looking but I had a %$#! of a time screwing it in. The screws are thicker than the light switch-holes, installed New Rockers.It took forever to screw in by hand (screwdrivers) and even longer to remove so that I could adjust and readjust the FP and make it flush with the walls. The good news is that it fits. It took forever to purchase a nice looking Faceplate that wasn't an 1/8" too short. These look nice enough, I bought 3. The gold color surrounding the white is unobtrusive, pretty enough to not return. The quality will suffice but these are not right as the finishing touch for high-end home renovation project. Still, they look nice. I can't tell if the inner, white section is PVC or painted metal.Idea: To avoid hassels with screws, before putting up thec plates, use the accompanying screws to "prepare the holes" which will ultimately secure the FPs . I remembered this method only after Id installed 2 of the 3. Irt also helped to adjust the plate evenly and to make flush with the wall.As an irrelevant side comment, the new Faceplates are replacing 4, toggle switch covers which Id installed throughout my 3 floor, townhouse. Regardless that that project was labor intensive and at least 10 years ago, I'll I miss my former [Heritage] thick, real polished Brass Faceplates. I'd buy these again.
