Can you add detergent to this setup?

Yes, you can. You'll just have to add the detergent before the brush using some sort of inline injector. I use a venturi injector to do this.

what's the difference between the standard and premium version?

Length is the difference. For example, in storage its 47" for the standard and 43" for the premium I do believe. Length is different as well.

Can I use it wash down my deck that is made of composite material?

You can use it on your deck but I would not use it to wash my car or truck with it after you use it on the deck.

Can you adjust the water flow, or is it just on/off??

It is on or off, so adjust water at the spigot. :)
