Total Shocker, these are such great stools.
I must have not been expecting much, but I ordered them because I wanted a couple of plain stools in the shop to take a load off now and then. I expected to fully assemble them, expecting a flat box to arrive.... nope... everything you see that is painted is pre-assembled and welded. Not to mention, there were foam sleeves on the legs, with wax paper for corrosion protection and thick, stapled cardboard for the box. I panicked at first when I took them out of the box, if you don't want the extensions they have plastic caps installed and I thought they were short stools and I must have accidentally ordered.... But then I found the box with the extensions, nice screws, they even provided a wrench. You would swear these were made in the USA, but they are from Taiwan... probably an old American design... I am very happy with them.

Winner!!
I've been looking for a low stool for my kitchen counter ... and, without compromising on quality, did not want to spend a lot of money for it. Stools a little higher than chair height are hard to find. After a long search I finally settled on these stools - Winner! I decided to purchase the set of 2 since it seemed more cost effective. I use one in the kitchen and the other in my office. I added the legs to both stools (at 2 different heights). Thanks to other reviewers, I used the hair dryer method to loosen the plastic leg caps. Hair dryer for 15 seconds on 4 sides of each cap -- then a firm twist with gripper jar opener (fabric). Wow-wow. That made it so incredibly easy for this senior citizen single lady. .. and inserting the legs was quick. No problem with the holes lining up. NOTE: I got the stools with no padding on the seat. Admittedly, they are a bit hard so I ended up purchasing chair cushions which ended up adding to the total cost to my 'inexpensive' stools", but I'm ok with it. I like my stools and the chair cushions dress up my stools. Probably not necessary if used as a true shop stool. Good purchase all around.

Perfect, very happy!
Great pair of stools, really satisfied with quality and love the height adjustability. Only thing that could be better is to leave the plastic caps off during shipping, had to use mallet and flat head screwdriver to take them off. Otherwise highly recommend.

Sturdy
I am a big guy - sadly over 300lbs but working on it. These are the shop stools I remember over 40 years ago. They are not tall but they are light weight and very stable. You can adjust them and if you want color, can spray paint them. (Scuff the finish and prime first for best results) The seat is MDF attacked to steel. It is VERY solid and assembly is minimal. You will need a rubber mallet for the feet.

Not what we wanted - but seemed nice
unfortunately they weren't the size I had hoped. they seemed sturdy and nice. we opted to return to get a stool that was higher/taller, swiveled and had a back support. for the money i thought these stools were terrific, just not what my husband was looking for.

Perfect!
Absolutely the best stools I have ever sat upon. They are super sturdy! We couldn't get the rubber feet off any of the legs but that was fine for me because the height was perfect for what I was using them for. Awesome!

Good Quality and price.
They are very sturdy .I’ve had some of my friends come over that are very heavy and no problem whatsoever with stability .The reason I bought them ,I wanted them by my welding area and I wanted something that won’t be affected by Sparks . I would buy them again and I would recommend them to anybody with a home shop. Also assembly was a very easy.
