Anyone had a bottle break (or leak) but the liquid remain contained?

Yes, we had this happen on a long international trip.  It was our first use of these.  I packed a bottle of brandy in the wine diaper and put it in a hard sided bag.  Honestly, I wasn't especially careful, thinking the luggage itself would be pretty good protection; at the last minute I remembered that the wine diaper was sealable and gave it a rather cursory seal closed.  When we got home, I could detect a whiff of something funky as I was unpacking but until I actually picked up the wine diaper and found it squishy, I didn't realize the bottle of brandy had broken.  There might have been some itty bitty bit of leakage because I could smell something but it seemed confined to the wine diaper and none of the contents in the bag or the bag itself were affected at all.  I picked up the wine diaper and poured out the entire bottle of brandy along with shards of broken glass and threw the diaper with the rest of the glass out.  I couldn't believe it!  To me this is the worst case scenario and these worked perfectly.  On a later trip, I used the wine diapers again and had no breakage.  Excellent, excellent product if you ask me.

Measuring on the outside, the bag is 17 inches long from the bottom to the zip-loc. Measuring on the inside of the bag, the bag is 15 1/4" long from the bottom to the zip-loc.

What is the difference between the jet bag and the wine diaper. they are made by the same company, right?  thank you!!!

I have both. And yes, I believe they are made by the same company.  I just compared the two.  The Jet Bag's "diaper" part seems maybe a 2 millimeters or so longer and the plastic bag part (much less important) is a little shorter compared to the Wine Diaper.  I highly recommend them.  Make sure it is the zip lock version (which I think the new ones all are).  I have an older version of one of them and it was more of a glue like seal and it just got gross.

Will it hold a 1 liter bottle?

Yes.  I tried it with a 1 liter bottled water and there was room to spare.
