Bought this to replace a BuyHeatShrink brand VT-1100, which had given us excellent service over the years. I would have bought another VT-1100 but the shipping time was longer than I could wait. I needed a heat gun right away so I ordered this one. It was very inexpensive so I figured what the heck, I will try it. It didn't have the fancy heat control knob, just high and low switch but I only use full throttle so I didn't care. Very impressed so far with this unit. I think its full throttle output might actually be a little hotter than the VT-1100 which is more expensive.

I bought this to remold some plastic inner fender well on my truck which were rubbing secondary to oversized tires. I managed to get the job done but it took a whole lot longer than anticipated secondary to the gun be a bit underpowered for the task. I’d recommend this for small jobs and shrink wrap on wires and such. I’d opt for 1500+ watt models for inner fender well where you have to heat larger areas. Otherwise this heatgun functioned perfectly.

I bought this HT1000 kit to peel some stubborn old paint off a dresser and shrink-wrap some wiring. It handles basic DIY tasks effortlessly and punches well above its price tag.
