I'll be giving it a tryout next week. Initial thoughts are positive, as it seems like good quality and the sizing seems to be true (70 x 80). I was worried if it would be too stiff, but it isn't. It's a good thickness. I like how it folds up and has the carrying strap, as well as the zippered pocket. The only thing I didn't like was the smell when it arrived. It smelled like rubber-I guess it's the smell of the waterproof backing. I sprayed the blanket with Febreze and hung it outside for a couple hours and it seems fine now. I was aware when I bought it (based on other reviews) that it is not supposed to be machine washable. However, I read several people did wash it on gentle cycle and hung it out to dry. That's what I intend to do, when it needs to be cleaned. It isn't so expensive that if it falls apart in the wash I will be devastated, but I am hoping that doesn't happen. From inspecting it, I think it will hold up.Edited to add: I've used this six or seven times at the beach in the past year, and have been very happy with it. I do find the material tends to make me hotter, so I usually lay on a towel on top of the blanket. But I love it, because I can keep all my stuff on the blanket and out of the sand, as well as have space for me and another person to lay on it. It's good quality too, and holding up well. ## Frequently Bought Together - ONIVA - a Picnic Time Brand - Blanket Tote XL Outdoor Picnic Blanket - Beach Blanket - Camping Blanket - KitchenAid Ribbed Soft Silicone Oven Mitt Set, 7"x13", Milkshake 2 Count --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/280841737-oniva-a-picnic-time-brand-outdoor-picnic-beach-camping-blanket](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/280841737-oniva-a-picnic-time-brand-outdoor-picnic-beach-camping-blanket) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
