I wasn't sure I'd like this, because I thought it might be scratchy on the feet and difficult to clean hair from. I am glad I ordered! It stays in place well on our textured shower (no suction; nice non-skid backing). AND, surprise, the weave is flat-topped, so hair does not get grabbed and stuck. It can be wiped right off with a paper towel. There is some texture - more like carpet than like scrub-brush. Not scratchy, but like having a wash cloth on the shower floor for your feet. :o) Just the right answer for our new shower.

This mat turned out to be just what I needed. I have all tile in my shower and a glass partition, and the last thing I want to do is slip and fall and break the glass. This mat gives me nice traction AND in the winter, it keeps my feet away from the cold tile.When I'm not using it, I sometimes let it hang over the tub to dry, just to let the area underneath it dry, too. There are no suction cups, it's just a foam bottom, but it doesn't slide at all.The loofah feel of the mat is really great, too, because it feels like a little foot massage. I also noticed that it helps catch my long hair, so I just scrape up my hair from the mat instead of having it go down the drain and cause potential drainage issues.I only wish they made this in a larger size!

Great little mat! I do wish it came in a larger size, but the concept it good. It has no suction cups to slip, a comfortable feel that helps to smooth calluses and best of all, it can be placed directly over the drain and the water never dams up.I’m considering purchasing 3 more and squaring the sides so I can join 4 into one giant shower mat.

1) it doesn't use suction cups, so you don't feel all these little bumps under your feet. But the gripper surface on the bottom keeps it securely in place, but I can reposition it easily if I need to.2) the texture is very nice...like walking on a soft loofah. It's cushy underfoot!3) I haven't had to clean it yet, but looking forward to simply tossing in the washing machine.I WILL be buying this product again!

FINALLY a good in shower mat that doesn't use crappy suction cups that never stay stuck, and yet still refuses to slide around on me. I love this guy! I haven't yet tried to clean it out so I don't know how easy that will be but I don't care it's comfy and absolutely will not slide around and that is exactly what I wanted. WELL worth splurging on

I am very happy with this bathtub mat. The loofah-like surface is comfortable for me and offers more grip where your feet contact the mat. On the bottom is rubber cell-type backing that grips the tub. I left the stick on sea shells in place that were already attached to my tub and they may be helping to keep the mat in place. You can easily lift the mat and rinse it off if needed. The 16X24" size is fine for a bathtub but I would have purchased the larger size if it was in stock at the time I ordered. We will see how it holds up over time.

Both my husband and I like it. It stays in place and is pleasant to stand on. I got one more for other tub, and a larger one for a shower.We could not find a tub mat that stays put, and had grub bars installed. However having non slippery mat gives so much more relaxing shower experience. Especially now that I fractured my wrist and can't hold to the bar and wash as well.I have not washed these mats yet. So I'll update this review if they do not wash well.

I have just had a total knee replacement and needed to ensure I would not slip in the shower. I bought 3 to cover my entire shower floor and the step down. Works great, easy to rinse.
